Streaming virgin Blusound Node 2i: 450-550Cat 6 or higher cable: 20 on upHD Streaming service: 8 on up per month. This will give you full HD playback capability. The Bluesound ap will work on your phone or laptop. Many say BS ap is better than the one in more exp...
I agree with Keef And yet, we have rap and hip hop music that promotes disrespect, sexual exploitation, drug use and cop killing. Not all of it, but enough. We are on our second generation of this music. Who listens to this: the young people. Is it influencing...
Bought a new McIntosh amp If you like the Klipsch, your end game should be Class A SS or tubes. A tube preamp with solid state is a nice combination. Mac gear looks nice, is reliable, sells well but I am not a big fan of their sound.
Cornwall IV and subwoofers I have Cornscalas, pretty much same specs as CWIV. I have 100 Hz crossover and feel the subs are "part of the music." I have two 10" subs.

How important is the pre-amp? Streaming sounded like the best way to go, as I was getting my system going. I was trying to watch spending. My preamp was failing. So I connected the streamer to DAC then direct to the amp. How creative, I thought. Well, I didn't realize the...
How to get into high end digital? (Feeding a DAC) I have the Topping D90. It has very nice parts in it. I would say very neutral and transparent. I can only comment on the comparison to the Bluesound Node 2i DAC. The Denafrips Pontus gets very good reviews and is R2R. $1694
Fidelity vs. Musicality...........Is there a tug of War? If instruments sound the way I think they should, that is an accurate system that is enjoyable, therefore musical.
System building; a meditation I see folks who have nice systems but a compromised room. They know it but for one reason or another that’s the way it is. This time around, I started with money being the first consideration, then research, then room, then speakers. I have been l...
Is bass the most important frequency band? My friend made me some subwoofers 20 years ago. They are still sitting in approximately the same spot. I added some bass traps but could use a couple more. I bought sorbothane hemispheres and now realize that's not good enough. I have nice bas...
Which amp would you choose and why - Pass Labs XA-25 or First Watt F8? XA25 actually puts out 80 watts or so. I have had one for a year. The sound is all I could ask for. The drop for the F8 at 4 ohms is not what you want.I won't be trading unless I choose different speakers and that ain't happening. I didn't get...
Klipsch Forte ii too bright, or is it my room ? Old. Tired receiver, nice but tired. Speakers can have crossover replaced Most importantly, fix the room.
Are you also leaving free (virtually) performance on the table? DeOxit 2. Removes and prevents. Might be a newer version. I would think electrical contact cleaner would work.
Sweet new tube amp needs better speakers Crites Speaker. Look and size of Klipsch Cornwall. Make yourself or premade in unfinished birch. Bass down to 35 Hz or so. But I use a couple subs. Selenium tweeter update. About 2000 to your door. They have a live accurate sound with nice ... |
