Anyone read this NYT story about analog audio bars? I’d love to have something like that around here.
The last 20 years of Home Power Have Been Amazing @erik_squires We actually have an electric dryer and we didn’t get any GFI of any sort, but we did have to switch out the 220 power cord from one that has three leads to one that has four. I did look at some YouTube videos and installing a who...
The last 20 years of Home Power Have Been Amazing @erik_squires forgot to ask, why do I want a whole house surge protector when everything important is either on a power conditioner, with a magnetic surge protector or a UPS for the computers, NAS, Router etc? Would I need one for the sub panel...
The last 20 years of Home Power Have Been Amazing Hi @erik_squires I’m in Missouri and have never heard of needing whole house anything and I can use a 29cent receptacle anywhere except for within 6’ of water. I just had a couple of rooms added to the house and I had to get a 100amp sub panel. ...
Package Has Disappeared in USPS System I’m assuming it was insured, right? And with a tracking number, the USPS knows if you received your package. BTW, If it was an expensive item, the seller would/should have Signature required on it? Right?

Location of compoments. My current setup is totally between the speakers, but back against the wall. I bought a pair of long XLR cables and moved everything into an alcove to the left of the speakers and I lost a bit of soundstage on the left, so I moved everything back.

Black Sabbath and Jazz fans? @mclinnguy How did I never hear of Jazz Sabbath before? I’m only about halfway through their self titled album and OMG I’m hooked! I now know what I’m listening to this New Years Eve. Thanks for sharing!
Townshend Audio Seismic Podiums Review @hollandw, I am so happy to hear how happy you are using the Townshend Podiums. While I never did buy any of the Townshend isolation products, I did have the same boom in my sound and I was vibrating the dishes at one end of the house and the a...
Black Sabbath and Jazz fans? Just put Jazz Sabbath, Jazz Sabbath in cue to listen to next.
Do Audio Hobbyists Commonly Fail to Fully Utilize Their Systems? I have been building my system for a little over fifty years and I’m getting mighty close to “my perfect system”. I am happy to say I listen at least an hour a day, probably three hundred and thirty days a year. Have I done some foolish things in...
