Depending on your price range, You can get an Audiolab 6000CDT that actually sounds good going into a good DAC. They also have a 9000CDT, for more money.  If your budget allows, check out PS Audio or Jays.  Jays is probably the best I’ve ever hear...

I bought an open box Bluesound Node, N130. It’s a streamer and DAC all in one.  It gives you access to probably all the pay services as well as Internet Radio and DNLA, so you can access tunes on your computer or NAS. All the best.

See if you can find a used Hegel H190. It has plenty of power for your speakers and it even has a DAC and Streamer in it. All the best.

Both my Hegel H390 and my PS Audio gear all stay in standby mode until I wake them up. Both take less than an hour to sound great.  
What next?
If you can expand your price range a bit, an open box Bluesound Node N130 and a new or used Denifrips Aries 2 will make a huge improvement. You might also think about getting rid of Apple Music and going with Qobuz, Amazon Music HD or Tidal. All ... 
One DAC to Rule it All
That’s is an interesting question. the double digital part, I’m guessing could go either way, but I have found for the most part, the simpler the system, the fewer cables, the fewer power supplies the better the sound.  In the end, your ears wil...
