Prima Luna Vs Accupahse
I'll put another vote in for the Accuphase. I don't think anyone's going to argue the build quality...probably last you forever. Prima Luna.....well, not so much.
"I'm a believer"
"...anyone that spends $20,000 for a piece of wire is either stupid or has more money than brains,..." Ahh yes...another thinly veiled insult hurled from the cheap seats. How about if someone is running $500k worth of amplification? (D’Agostino ...
"I'm a believer"
"...there is no other item in high end audio that fall under the "Rule of Diminishing Returns" like loudspeakers." I disagree strongly with that statement, but hey, you do you.
SR Master Fuse on preamp
Not really pertinent to the conversation,  but what player doesn't have a fuse? I thought all UL equipment had to have a fuse..... I've not tried SR'S master fuse, but am a big fan of the oranges and purples.
NPS-Q45T on internal amplifier fuses
"...this may cause a fire hazard because it increases thermal energy." Resistance causes heat. NPS doesn't increase resistance, so....I'd say an increase in "thermal energy" (*ahem*) is probably nothing you need to worry about.
Anyone else using slugs instead of fuses? Comments on metals used and sound please

Meitner Ma1 Not Powering Up
6moons.com/audioreviews/meitner/2.html add https:// to the front of that. About halfway down, the fuse is clearly shown on the board after the AC input receptacle on the rear of the unit. :)
Meitner Ma1 Not Powering Up
@bearotti , everything has a fuse in it somewhere along the power path. Most likely it is on the inside of the case where the AC cord connects. https://www.emmlabs.com/images/meitner/documents/MA-1_V2_Manual.pdf Hopefully that gets you started....
Have you found your "End-Game" speakers yet? I have. And it feels so good!!!
I don't know about "end game", but I am really happy with my current setup. Emerald Physics 2.8's with external crossovers (2x15" Carbon woofer, 12" carbon mid, and a 1" poly tweeter) and a Rythmik G22 subwoofer. Lush, lovely, and articulate. I...
ARE AUDIOPHILES OVERLY SENSITIVE BY NATURE?FEELINGS AND OPINIONS?
Overall, I'd say there are 2 types of audiophiles. The first type is the one you describe in your post. Generally unpleasant. The second type is someone who actually listens to what you have to say and aren't afraid to ask for clarification, eve...
Golden Ears?
Really? I have the audio components that I do because I enjoy them, and they sound excellent together. At least in my opinion. I really couldn't care less how my hearing measures, nor (honestly) how your hearing measures. Buy what you want and ...
Mastering legend Bernie Grundman explains why the measurement crowd has it all wrong!
The measurement only crowd are usually very ignorant.
jitter
@mlsstl , +1. Good answer.
jitter
"Jitter is a non-issue solved decades ago! Present day DAC's and streamers are immune to jitter. No need for re-clocking devices, despite what the neurotically obsessed will claim." *sigh* Your ignorance is absolutely monumental, @jasonbourne71 ...
Synergistic element copper good for power amp?
That particular cord is the copper version. I have a tungsten version on my cd player, but in my setup the copper won me over on my amp. Ymmv, but I’m pretty happy all around. The tungsten sounds a little cleaner, but also adds a little brightnes...
