Are some streaming players more reliable than others?
I've never had issues streaming from Qobuz or other sources. I started with a Raspberry Pi, then "upgraded" (or so I thought at the time) to an Aurender, then dumped that for a Bryston BDP-3. They all worked well using wired connection.

ozzy62 All I ever see from @audiotroy are infomercials. If you think he doesn't belong here you should take your complaint to the moderators, @ozzy62.  As it stands, it looks to me like @audiotroy is posting well within the forum's rules.

I'm at the pearly gates and they tell me I can only bring in one jazz cd
scottya118 I'm at the pearly gates and they tell me I can only bring in one jazz cd One CD - for all eternity? I don't want to be the one to tell you, but you aren't at the Pearly Gates. You're at the other place.
What type of wire for dedicated 20A AC lines?
twoleftears If you’re putting in a dedicated 20amp line, or even 2 or 4 of them, and if there are no free spaces on the main breaker box panel that you currently have, do you also end up putting in a new larger panel? Does a sub-panel solve ...
Speaker cutting out intermittently
george53 I reversed speaker connections on the back of the amp, and powered up.  Everything good. Great! Maybe you had a loose connection on the back of the amplifier. I wouldn't worry about it unless the problem returns.
Monstrous power cables
1971gto455ho ... Let’s have a few of these high cost cable manufactures randomly select on their honour of course, 10 people for blind A/B testing ... I’ll wager there won’t be a lineup of manufactures Interested. Once again, those who clamo...

testpilot Isn’t a VPI SDS a low power AC regenerator that takes the incoming wall AC and regenerates it into a 20 watt variable AC frequency? Yes, both frequency and voltage are adjustable. It’s really not suitable for DC motors.
What type of wire for dedicated 20A AC lines?
bigtwin 12/2  NM Copper Wire.  Available at any DIY store.  All you will ever need to meet code and run 20 Amps.  That is mistaken. What is the length of the run? Is it in conduit? Depending on the answers, 12/2 may not meet local code, wh...
What type of wire for dedicated 20A AC lines?
andybflo 8AWG will give you no more current than 12AWG of the amp doesn’t need it Not necessarily. If you have voltage drop (because of the length of the run, or heat build-up in a conduit), the 8 gauge will be able to deliver...
What type of wire for dedicated 20A AC lines?
audioguy85 why make life diffucult restling with 10 gauge....code for 20 Amp is the yellow romex 12 gauge. The 10 is overkill. Depending on the length of the run and whether it is in conduit, 12 AWG may not meet local code for a 20A line. I...
Precision Motor Controller
I am pretty sure that your Micro uses a DC servo motor. The controllers you mention such as the VPI are for AC synchronous motors.
Apple Music HIFI edition
mahler123 It’s probably half a loaf either way. I use AirPlay sometimes but it’s definitely lossy Are you sure? I thought Airplay was 16/44.1. That’s bandwidth limited if you’re playing hi-res, but that’s not exactly "lossy."
What type of wire for dedicated 20A AC lines?
Any electrical supply house will have 10 AWG solid core. Home Depot, too, I'm sure.
Homage to those who are pleased with your audio rig
I am extremely pleased with my audio system and have been for years. Upgrades happen, but they're rare. I buy most equipment new and don't replace any of it casually. I'm still using my Infinity IRS Beta speaker system. I kept my ARC SP-11 Mk. II...
