It depends on your phono stage, tonearm and many other factors. Some great MM can do as low as 5Hz up to 60kHz, it’s impossible without advanced profiles originally designed for Quadraphonic records (like Shibata). When a cartridge can do 10Hz (li...
Kuzma 4 Point Tonearm
4 Point is ugly, look for Reed instead
16 ohm speakers: any amp sounds better with more resolution. speaker cables less critical.
And yet, the guy who designs some of the most fantastically successful speakers made anywhere in the world today says nevermind 16 ohms, even 8 ohms is obsolete. Nearly all legendary TANNOY speakers are 8 OhmZu Audio speakers are 16 Ohm and they ...

My speakers are 16 Ohm (Zu Audio Druid). There is a simple trick recommended by Nelson Pass (First Watt):Put 160 Ohm (5w) resistor across the cable terminals on the speaker. Some reviewers love it with 16 Ohm speakers.

Technics SL-1200GR setup question
@cleeds  VTA is always positive, by definition.Remember that VTA is the angle of the cantilever to the LP surface. Arm tube angle is positive or negative and you can only change it by VTA adjustment on Technics tonearm if the arm tube is not par...
Phono stage or pre Amp? which is most important.
In terms of partst:$150 phono stage and $500 phono stage can be absolutely the same, but with different label and different box. Price is nothing in this case (in this category at least) and can’t be a guide.

Ok, M2 Red is garbage, stay away from this one, in this series you could try Black. Within your budget at $300 or $350 (in my opinion) Stanton 881s or Pickering XSV-3000 (both with Stereohedron tip) are the best you can get, the sound is so sweet....
