Enough is Enough
I was a retail owner for many years, now retired.  We offered personal service and hired [and fired] many salespeople over the years.  Some of them, you could tell would thrive at this and others were pretty obvious that this was not their calling...
Music Hall Classic Turntable
Four stars for what Elliot said.
Acoustic Panel Help
Doing this will be a trial and error experiment. I have used Maggies for about 30 years and have been through more changes than I wanted.  These dipoles are tricky as for room treatment, just a small change in treatment will produce great effect. ...
another one passes.
Another one that recently passed is Vic Flick, who was the guitarist for Ian Fleming's James Bond theme. I will never forget Dr. No, first saw it as a teen who rode my bike 5 miles to the nearest theater for a Saturday matinee.
Have you heard the new Beatles in Mono, Capitol releases?
I fell in love with stereo when I was about 15.  Honestly, I am not interested in mono at all.
No God No! Say it Ain’t So!
This is the almighty $$$$$$ at work.  Usually, the first move will be to clear house and consolidate positions.  Next thing you know, Best Buy will be the place for MC.  {maybe]
Phono preamp hum
No quiz.  It has been back in the box for a couple years.  I keep looking at it wondering what's wrong.  Thought maybe I could get some help as I am no tube genius.  Maybe I will give it away and let it drive someone else crazy.
Phono preamp hum
@lewm  No it isn't.  @Kokomo  Nope, I have given up on it.  I have another unit that works fine.

65" for sure.  It might seem big at first, but you'll get used to it in minutes.
Phono preamp hum
Yes, the ground wire is secure.  I have tried grounding it a few different ways with the same result.  Like I said, it sounds fine for about 30 minutes, then the humming gradually becomes louder the longer it plays, or even not playing.
Phono preamp hum
I have no idea if it has an AC filiment supply.  It has a wall wart power supply.  Once it starts humming, it gradually gets  louder and I have to unplug it to stop.
3 tone control integrated amp/preamp
My backup integrated is a 15 yrs old Vincent tube/SS hybrid that has tone controls and.....a loudness button!  150 watts RMS.  I have thought about selling it but I am having a hard time uploading photos.
An audio component you just can't let go
There is a button on your tv remote control that will change your news channel to something else, movies etc.  Just use it.
any ideas?
I am stating what is obvious.  If it buzzes when not playing anything, it's the electronics inside that is causing it.  Could be a ground loop or decaying parts in the sub amp.
Non-Audiophile Audiophile question!
Nobody thought of open back headphones?   Listening to speakers in back of you seems, well, backwards.
