Your sub experience: Easy or hard? My 10 year old Velodyne 12" sub came with an onscreen setup guide with an equalizer, so flattening out the high and low freq's also smoothed out the response. Sounds qreat with my Maggie 3.7's placed facing sweet spot from between speakers.
A first I agree, baylinor. A high percentage of people will never appreciate a fine system or some of the other fine things in life. And will never be convinced. So we are by ourselves sometimes.
Digital Interconnects - Which one is the BEST ??!! Forget about the optical connection. It sounds ragged compared to coax.
Audioquest Storm Series power cables I am one who has to hear the improvement before I believe it. I replaced all power cords and power strip with Shunyata Venom series cables and I hear very little difference if any at all. What's up with that?
Lose weight or buy better fitting pants After dealing with rooms that simply do not work for music OR home theater, build one, or use a different one. You could build one for the price of a pair of Wilsons. Or get a good set of headphones. [These will prevent you from hearing what yo...
"World's Best Cables" vs Audioquest interconnects I can tell you that some cables [not all brands] definately need burn-in and can sound horrible while doing so. Audioquest sounds great right out of the box. My Analysis Plus balanced interconnects took about 200 hours before they behaved.
best amp for a Maggy 1.7i I agree with DWMAGGIE. Magnarisers are the best upgrade you can do for the price. I have the 3.7's, they ran out of power with 150 watts. 250 watts drives them well. [Hegel].
Audiophile Grade Wall Receptacle mitch 2, maybe it is my 68 year old ears, but I could not tell the difference on some A/B comparisons. There were some other so-called upgrades that never panned out as well, like lifting speaker cables off the floor or record clamps, which actua...
Audiophile Grade Wall Receptacle Can anyone actually tell me they heard an improvement with audio receptacles?
recommended speaker cables and interconnects I have some Analysis Plus cables and I am a big fan. One thing about them is they took almost forever to break in and they sounded horrible for the entire break in time. 200 hours easily. Then one day BOOM. They arrived.
First CD player help! OK, most CD's made before year 2000 sound crappy on most players of any price. Most Musical Fidelity players will add some life into them, I am unsure if they try to expand the frequency response or something else, but it does help the old CDs. ...
The sound quality from DACs - is it all the same? If someone says they cannot tell the difference in DACs, their system is probably not very revealing. In digital EVERYTHING matters! Interconnect included.
I wonder what you would think if we scheduled a monthly Zoom Meeting? Maybe there are some female audiophiles who could sit around in their...nevermind.
Speaker Recommendation Help Please. There are only a few speakers that will sound good close to the wall. Do some research for those. Otherwise, try moving your listening position [and speakers] away from the wall a little at a time. It does seem that your room is the big problem.
if someone can help me...... I bought new balanced interconnects once and they took almost forever to break in. I was ready to sell new electronics because I could not believe it was more break-in time they needed. Then one day it happened. The heavens opened up and shower... |
