Changes in DAC Presentation - Need Advice
I have had some interconnects take a long time to break in [Analysis Plus], but all my electronics sounded fine after the initial warm-up.  If your previous DAC sounded fine with the Mac, then it is not the Mac.  I do have days where my system is ...

When I was 18 I heard those Dahlquists hooked up to a rack full of McIntosh electronics and was gobsmacked.  Thus began my continual upgrading into the best I could afford.  By the time I could afford them they were no longer made.  Sad.  
Why recordings made before 1965 sound better.
I agree with oldaudioopjile.  Dolby recording was OK.  Playing your deck with Dolby on took all the air out of your music.  Does anyone want to buy my cassette deck?

Products you added to your system in 2021 that made most impact to your music enjoyment
Magnarisers with cyro jumpers for my Maggie 3.7 speakers.  Doesn't sound like a big deal, but it was. Now my analog system outperforms anything digital.  Cannot figure that out, but it is so.  
Recommend an Entry Level Turntable (And maybe an integrated Amp)
It is interference, wherever it comes from.  Sunspots? Electrical? Traffic? Extraterrestials?  Whatever you have is affected by something.  Could also be mental.  Get an attitude adjustment.  Works for me.
