Moving Up from a Jolida JD9
Once you star streaming, your TT will not get nearly the usage as before.  Trust me on this.  I always loved spinning vinyl, but it will definately play second chair after this.
If you want lame advice DON'T do this!
I would never put my TV and surround system in a dedicated listening room, regardless of what somone else does.  You are compremising one or the other.
Thoughts On Turntable Clamps And Weights
Using a clamp seems to stifle a lively sounding recording.  I know not everyone will be in my corner on this, but I prefer the livelier unclamped sound. I don't use mine anymore.
A Story about a Defective Signature Platinum
@oddiofyl.  I hear ya.  Bad customer service is unforgiveable.
Randy Meisner has passed away.
All 'a my heroes
Am I broken? Am I stuck? Do I have to return my audiophile card now?
About 99% of us do not have as good of a system as you.  Most of us are still happy with what we have.  Unless the $$$ is burning a hole in your pocket,  I would suggest staying away from your HI-FI for a few days or a week.  Then go ahead and see...
Will China become the poor man’s dealer for high end audio?
Whenever anyone develops a great new technology or product, the Chinese will figure out how to do it cheaper.
Quality power question #2
Thanks, guys, for the suggestions.  I will be shopping around.
New cd player
Musical Fidelity makes CD players at any price that make even older CD's sound special.  I am surprised this brand is never talked about.  No, I don't sell them. I just upgraded to one of their better models.
And Awaaay We Go!
@Baylinor  If you look like Bowie, you may or not be.  Opinions vary.
Phono Preamp Recs under $200 for My System
The Rega foni mini outperformed $400 dollar phono pre's.  Maybe mine is older, but is MM only.
Help this old rookie with speakers
Who would buy speakers because the resale value is high?  I would buy what sounds the best to you and keep it.
Jazz for aficionados
I didn't star listening to jazz until the late seventies.  Most of the players from earlier times did not ever become my favorites.  Some of my most played Jazz were Weather report's Heavy Weather,  Tom Scott & LA Express'  Tom Cat, Earl Klugh...
Tube Preamp: How many tubes does it take to .................
@elliotb.  That looks like a vintage Marantz.  Is that from the sixties?
MM or MI Cartridge?
Dinov is right.  Since the output is somewhere in between an MC and a MM, you will have to experiment with your phono preamp setting.  Mine only had 2 settings, MM and MC.  One sounded fat, the other was weak.
