Some thoughts on ASR and the reviews
@erik_squires What you say is true, but that doesn't take away the damage that ERIC has done to HIS OWN brand. No one else is doing it. This is self-mutilation at it's finest. @jhnnrrs Bad form injecting politics in an audio forum.
Axpona 2024 who is going and why?
I felt one of the surprises of the show, for me was SPL. They are a brand designed and built in Germany. Not expensive equipment compared to D'Agostino (which I felt sounded so grainy this year). They are looking to get into the US market and I th...
Some thoughts on ASR and the reviews
That is not the point. The point is Eric threatening people with lawsuits is the issue. One would work with people, like Andrew Jones does, not bully people. If you like Tekton, great, but the behavior of the designer is what is turning off peopl...
No discussion about the Synergistic Pink fuse?
If you almost hear - it is your brain telling you that because you want it to sound different. This is all psychology.
I see the issue with ABX blind testing
I am sorry that blind testing is so hard. I mean, that is how drugs, etc. are tested. Yes, it would take some planning but can be done. After all the Boston Audio Society did it with amplifiers in the 1980's. It can be done. Just remember, our br...
Meeting up with members even where there is no sale

Benefits of adding a 10MHz Master Clock to a digital system
I haven't tried it. I was at several friends' houses who had clock systems, like 5 yrs ago and never heard a difference - with or without. Maybe I just don't have those 'Golden Ears'.
Benefits of adding a 10MHz Master Clock to a digital system
@antigrunge2 Sorry - even goldenear has tested and shown that external clocks MAKES IT WORSE. There have been others that showed the EXACT same thing. If you have blind tested - your ears are filling in the extra information.

Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
Well, they are drilled through the wall open to the inside.
Thin Line Between Critique and Courtrooms: A Dialogue on the Recent Audiophile Drama
The point is, I haven’t seen a negative review of ANY audio product in the press in a long time. It is usually glowing words. Going to ask an honest question, with a experience of mine from another consumer product. I worked for a whiskey produce...
Meeting up with members even where there is no sale
If peeps are at Axpona, this year, we can sit and chat there. I will be there all 3 days.
Thin Line Between Critique and Courtrooms: A Dialogue on the Recent Audiophile Drama
@rooze Exactly. It seems some want it only their way. This especially true since prices in the audio world are going up faster than Elon Musk's rockets.
Thin Line Between Critique and Courtrooms: A Dialogue on the Recent Audiophile Drama
@atmasphere Your reply is part of the issue. A good reviewer is there to give information to their audience, not stroke the egos of the manufacturers. That was the way IT USED to be.  I will use a car review as an example. How would you deal with...
Thin Line Between Critique and Courtrooms: A Dialogue on the Recent Audiophile Drama
@atmasphere  WOW - so there can be no negative reviews because the reviewer has a bone to pick. That is a condescending attitude.  Then why send out equipment to be reviewed at all except to stroke the ego of the manufacturer?
