"Aaahh, I see wooden boxes and strange black fabric. Yes, oh wait…they appear to say 'T-e-c-h-n-i--c-s.' There will be much crappy sound in your future."
Learning from him
My god, what did he just say?
Audio Research Reference 250 capacitor issue
Agree that that repair fee is a rip for an amp that is essentially new…really ARC?
What makes Telefunken tubes sound better?
OK, let's cut the politics, shall we? People are here to learn about tubes.
best CD player new or used for $1200
Am listening to Mark Knopfler on my Marantz CD6005 as we speak, and it sounds damn good. Just got it 2 days ago ($500) and am super impressed smooth, engaging, and balanced thru my FirstWatt/Quicksilver set up. I'd check it out before putting down...
Gov't Mule last night....much better than stereo
Yep, Govt Mule is killer live, and I agree their discs don't do them justice (it's all in the BASS)!
Amp Suggestion for Harbeth C7es3
My experience with the MiniMites on my Spendor SP2/3s (an easier load than your Harbeths) was not enough headroom. They reached a ceiling fairly quickly where they became compressed. With my 90db Fried A/3s, they were a bit more friendly, however....

Yep, your NAD amp is superb. I actually preferred my little NAD 25 watter to the 102B that I had for a short while. I'd pick up a used Quicksilver line stage for anywhere from $600-750 (depending on age and remote) to feed your NAD. They come in e...

Regenerator, Balanced Power, or Power Cleaner?
I have an APC S10, and it is among the best audio purchases I've ever made. My entire system is plugged into it, it is absolutely quiet, and it works reliably and exactly as advertised. I happen to have a First Watt M2, and the APC "saves" it and ...
