SVS SB-2000 Pro/3000 vs. REL T/7x I’ve owned a few Rel subs up to the S/5 level. I currently own an SVS SB3000 and like it better. I like deep bass and this sounds great with my setup. Would I like to hear the Rel S/812? Sure. If your amp doesn’t have the sub out (many don’t) you ...
New Stereo Times review on CODA CSiB Integrated Amplifier @arc999 So you listened to the two amps but not with the same speaker? If so, that's a big variable. I owned a CSIB (not the very latest, and lowest power- highest class A) and heard it with O/93, Spendor D7's, Cornwall IV's and Verity Leonores....
Good fix-- Have you scratched the wood on your Cornwall IVs? I saw a Kevin Deal video that said there is no increase in price. Wonder if the talk of an increase was a marketing technique to drive sales?
Anyone drive Verity Audio Parsifal Encores with tubes? I’m using a 28 watt Audio Note with the Otello’s and it drives them very well. I really like this combination.I don’t think you need big power with these but please share your experiences.
New Klipsch Forte IV Comments flying, emotions raging, posts removed. Yes!!! Can Tammy please add a section on vulgar and removed posts? That would make me get the Insider.
Klipsch Cornwall IV Very true. Getting out to hear the Fynes soon, have an interest in the Tannoy Arden, Coherent, and the new Soul looks fun too. Never a dull moment. Well, hopefully not!
Could The Music Room biz model be duplicated? A second TMR? Maybe the Audiopimp will rise from New Jersey. Or was in New York? That was a while ago.
Klipsch Cornwall IV The Cornwall was a very fun speaker to spend 2 1/2 months with. A great design and will really keep me engaged with horn speakers in the future. At the end of the day I missed the refinement and clarity of my audiophile ways too much. I was hoping...
FEX EX Damaged New Legacy's I think the system is too homogenized. Our gear is heavy and fragile. This stuff shouldn't be mixed in with diapers and medicine balls. Also these guys are loading trucks. How do they distinguish between a $5,000 amp and a pet rock? There should b...
Subwoofer Decisions - REL/Rythmik, Pair/Single, Paper/Aluminum Driver, etc. Yes TB!I've owned subs from Rel- the Stadium III and S/3, Rythmik F12G and SVS SB3000. I had the Rythmik and SVS together and think the Rythmik is the better but couldn't identify one over the other consistently in a blind test. The nice feature w...
Any NEAT love here? Comparing mini stand mount speakers.... The Neat importer is a short distance from me in Mass. Very knowledgeable and passionate about his products. They are a great speaker line.
A full range speaker? I can understand not appreciating genres that incorporate synth machines, or taking a purist approach to music reproduction, but trying to say it doesn't exist or isn't relevant is a bit looney.
A full range speaker? 1994 Olympic Stadium Pink Floyd Sorrow. Massive vibration. The bones in my ears were vibrating. The whole stadium was shaking. I agree with the above comments about feeling the music. It doesn’t take that much to feel the waves but it’s not always...
Gershman Studio 2 @jitterbugI found the lack of midrange to be a mixed bag. Great with aggressive music that not well recorded but lacking with nicely recorded music. Didn’t go back to any speaker yet, still considering a direction.
Best sub for music, Rel has solid marketing and has defined themselves as a room sub bass systems and talk about "tuning your Rel" - again marketing. I’ve owned a couple and they are good but so is Rythmik and I’m sure many others. JL looks really nice too. |
