Any NEAT love here? Comparing mini stand mount speakers.... The Neat importer is a short distance from me in Mass. Very knowledgeable and passionate about his products. They are a great speaker line.
A full range speaker? I can understand not appreciating genres that incorporate synth machines, or taking a purist approach to music reproduction, but trying to say it doesn't exist or isn't relevant is a bit looney.
A full range speaker? 1994 Olympic Stadium Pink Floyd Sorrow. Massive vibration. The bones in my ears were vibrating. The whole stadium was shaking. I agree with the above comments about feeling the music. It doesn’t take that much to feel the waves but it’s not always...
Gershman Studio 2 @jitterbugI found the lack of midrange to be a mixed bag. Great with aggressive music that not well recorded but lacking with nicely recorded music. Didn’t go back to any speaker yet, still considering a direction.
Best sub for music, Rel has solid marketing and has defined themselves as a room sub bass systems and talk about "tuning your Rel" - again marketing. I’ve owned a couple and they are good but so is Rythmik and I’m sure many others. JL looks really nice too.
A full range speaker? I like to listen to electronica and rap, and even Pink Floyd has tons of subterranean bass throughout their music. I find it difficult to find a speaker that goes that low and also has a soulful engaging sound. At least for under $10k. This is 100...
My Fyne 702a Awesome. What amps have you heard them with so far. I hear they like a little bit of power.
My Fyne 702a Can you describe what the drivers do on this speaker. I’ve never heard the Tannoy speakers and always hear them described as smooth, forgiving, buttery, etc. In my experience (I might be wrong) this tend to mean they have a relaxed or lowered midr...
Klipsch Cornwall IV Arthur you could just put big woofers in your car and park it in your living room!In my experience you likely don’t have to worry about the size of these in your room. They’re big because they’re efficient, and that’s not representative of the amo...
Klipsch Cornwall IV Don while you are performing your next surgery on these why don’t you cut some ports in the back and see what happens. It would be interesting to hear what some reinforcement would do. Have any of you compared these to a pair of Ardens? I’ve seen ...
Klipsch Cornwall IV @arthur1260 room is 14 by 26 but open to a larger space. I put all my speakers on the short and long wall but typically end up on the long wall with one close to a corner about 10 feet back from listening position.
Klipsch Cornwall IV Just an update with probably around 250 hours. I am often times pulled out of my office chair to walk out and listen to these. They are a clear preference for me over the O/93's I owned for 8 months. One thing I look for in a speaker is excitement...
Amplifier for Klipsch Cornwalls What are some of the favorites you guys are using either integrated or separates?
Raven Blackhawk LE... am I going to be disappointed? I don’t see how they have the time to live here.
Buying used: how old is too old? At times I’ve emailed the company that made them to see if they have replacement parts. Some good manufacturers tweak parts so they can’t always be found. Many use stuff that you can buy for $300 and pay $3000. This is a tricky business because ma... |
