Not Sure If This Is OK Here, But Here Goes
Just tell the guy your looking for a local sale. Too many variables and unknowns. Unless like Waltersalas says, the guys packing 2-3 digit feedback.
What, in your opinion, should the rules be for YouTube Reviews?
There is typically some type of code of ethics required for professional associations. I don't think any reviewers are held to a nationally recognized standard. I'd guess some are making money from advertising hits, some are getting a magazine sal...
What, in your opinion, should the rules be for YouTube Reviews?
No rules just a healthy skepticism because they are learning as they go, which is fine, but they try to give high level advice with low level knowledge. There are exceptions.

@Ozzy Did you pull that cable off your fridge yet? Where's the beef?
How do you know when a stereo sounds good?
I listen and the music draws me in to stay. What Mapman said. Plus: There is some magic between the speakers- a heavenly illumination . My wife sings more. More genres are enjoyed. When I still tinker but more to explore possibilities ...
Bought the wrong subwoofer!
I had one of the old Rel subs. I rebuilt the amp and the woofer needed to be replaced at about 20 years. I ordered one from Volt in the UK, they still make the same driver.  It was a good sub. I think bass is one of the last things audiophiles un...
Bought the wrong subwoofer!
I’ve owned three Rel subs and also own an SVS. The Rel’s have a built in line level adapter. Most Rel fans like to connect their subs off the amps speaker terminals with the speakon connector (Zu has this connection too). You might consider buyin...

Listening to music I don’t particularly like
Roon radio plays often in my house. I tune it out until something good comes on. At that point you can save that song to a playlist and later start the playlist from that song. I would call that exploration. Saved songs typically have a good sound...
ProAc Response 2: CJ CAV45, Cary SEI 300B, or Cary Rocket 88?
Only you can understand what you will hear from these combinations. I’d suggest that if you have the means, or can maybe buy used or with a return policy, get two amps side by side at some point... I’d suggest the 300b and the El34. Get them when...
Isoacoustics Orea vs Townshend Seismic Pod on Components
I bought the Iso and the Nobsound. The Nobsound are under my amp and the Iso are packed up with the return shipping label in the back of my car. I tried the Nobsound under my sub and the results were interesting. I actually had to turn the sub up ...
Gershman Studio 2
@rawlit im not sure what to give for a power recommendation but I'll tell you that I had the Cornwall 4 in my house at the same time as the Studio 2. I had a Coda CSIB 150 wpc. With the Cornwall I would have the set the digital volume at 18 for ea...
VAC and Kevin Hayes are totally unresponsive. What's up with that?
I've called VAC several times and they are awesome. Maybe you are going to spam? TMaybe they have an old tube based answering machine a dial up.
The New Synergistic Research Purple Fuses
Has anyone had their system in one place for six months with no changes and added a fuse. I can understand there being a huge difference if you changed the fuse and got new speakers, etc. if so, what percent better are we looking at 2-5% 15%? I wi...
Is advice from a constant upgrader to be avoided
My business over the years has led to relationships and sources of gear too good to pass up. I took it upon myself to ride the roller coaster, sometimes making money, other times coming out even, occassionally behind.  I recommend looking at how ...
