Are You Old Enough to Remember Those Jaw-Dropping Manufacturer Demos?
One demo has stuck in my mind for the past 40 years.  It was set up in an empty storefront in West Edmonton Mall.  At the time, the largest indoor shopping center in the world.  Anyway, the vendor had two huge floor standing speakers on an elevate...
55” or 65” TV Screen Size and Your Speakers: Please Join Survey
Everyone who says go big is correct.  IMHO.  Forget your initial reaction to the size of the screen.  Your brain will quickly adjust to what it is seeing.  In no time at all you will be wondering how you ever lived with a smaller TV.  Also, the pr...

@grislybutter  It's so annoying trying to send some basic information to another member, only to have the message blocked by admin.  Let's try this work around. Where there's a will.......
New room needs new speakers, I need your help
@maurice89   I won't make a speaker recommendation but I will suggest you try placing the speakers on the long wall.  When your room dimensions are entered into programs that calculate the best combination of L - W - H, your particular room gets a...

@grislybutter  What kind of list is this.  SoundLab doesn't even get a mention.  I'm beside myself with indignation!   🤣
New room needs new speakers, I need your help

Reliability - what’s your experience been?
In 50 years I've never had an equipment failure, other than a laser reader go on a DVD player.  But, in the past few years, I've had 3 pieces of high end equipment have issues right out of the box.  All three were replaced but it was a nuisance.  ...

@freediver You are correct the Hegel H600 has an MSRP of $12,500.  Are you the guy that paid the full price that one time?  🤣  As for not having a phono stage, my thought was if you're not caring about the quality of the phono, it could be added f...
Help me find my ideal Stereo Integrated Amp
The Hegel H600 should be a contender.  IMHO.
Pop album that has stood the test of time
You are asking about "Pop" records.  In that category I would say Rockpile's  Seconds of Pleasure is one I continue to enjoy.
Thoughts/Opinions on Technics SL-G700M2 CD/SACD Player
+1 for Music Direct.  I bought "open box" equipment from them.  Came with full factory warranty.   After 55 days I contacted them about returning under their 60 day no questions asked policy.  The return was handled exceptionally well.  Can't say ...
Why does Audiogon need my phone number to send private messages
This sites for music lovers.  So that would be phone sax. 😆
Drinking Songs playlest... What am I missing?
@danager  I think you missed what is arguably the greatest drinking song of all time.  George Thorogood - I Drink Alone.    What the heck, throw in his cover of John Lee Hooker - One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer.
Recommendations for a jazz record which demonstrates vinyl superiority over digital
John Schofield  double LP "Hand Jive".  Better than CD?  Impossible to say as people hear what they want to hear.  I can confirm it's a fabulous LP and a personal go to when I want to hear great sound from my turntable.  No need to break the bank....
