JWM10 with TNT Cartridge help PLEASE I'm thrilled with the Benz L2 on my JMW 9 (I also use the isolator). To my ear, it sounds a lot better than the Shelter 501 mk 2 it replaces.
The last 5 ????? I really think you are onto something and I believe that there are a number of logarathmic functions like this around...For example, loudness is measured this way (dB). I did some work on consumer impressions of consumer proudcts and found many ti...
Anyone spend more on their system than their car? I've also spent a lot more on my system than my car... but you're comparing a 20+ year hobby to a single purchase. If you add all the cars I've had together, you give me a new spending target. Thanks!
Why do new cables needs to be "broken" ??? I think that there is one legitimate thing happening--the connections are changing over time. As the wire settles into a configuration where the forces are balanced, you should retighten your connections.Modern physics does not let us predict any ...
Why do new cables needs to be "broken" ??? Bignerd,If you hook the cables up backwards and spin beatles platters backwards, does it sound forwards?
Why do new cables needs to be "broken" ??? Pierre,This will be fun to watch. Cable performance & break in is like discussing religion or football...I guess we have to wait till the electrons all line up so they can march down the single crystal-cryotreated-warmed up oh so carefully--6 ...

McCormack DNA-225 Platinum and McCormack DNA-500 I agree with Cmach's comments, but I think the SMC mods were not in any production amps. He's also right that Steve would be the obvious person to ask about this, he's always steered me right.
McCormack DNA-225 Platinum and McCormack DNA-500 Can't tell you about the 225/500 but with a .5, the upgrade from Rev A to Platinum (full monty...including transformer & siltech/carbon) made such a big difference (my components, my system...) that I'd bet on the Platinum.Good luck, brent
Help me pick an amp for under $5,000 McCormack DNA 1 upgraded by Steve McCormack to Platinum (SMCAudio).
Review: Quantum Resonance Technology Symphony Tweak Maybe it works (I never said it didn't--I have no data), but I still object to the fact that their website is nonsensical... and that the audiophile community accepts that kind of positioning.
Review: Quantum Resonance Technology Symphony Tweak nonoise,All I can say is that if it sounds good to you....I read their website & it's gobbleygook to me (back in the day, I took a whole lot of physics & quantum theory on the way to a PhD in Nuclear Chemistry & my reading of their web...
Cable for Gallo Ref III "sub" 2nd voice coil I ended up going deeper into the audiophile closet and changed out the MIT's for Fulton Golds... I had forgotten how difficult they were to work with, but I like the sound better than the MIT's.Still want everybody to chime in...Thanks again,
What room treatment or treatments... Bluemike,I assume you mean the "red ones" (and not the tuned resonators which are wood). I took a 2'X4' pice of 1/2 inch plywood. Mounted 703 rigid glass panel and glued it on with liquid nails. Covered in loosewoven fabric & stapled.Hope that...
The Perfect Listening Room I've also had a great experience with Rives. The quality of the sound & working with them has been a pleasure.Feel free to email me off-line for details if necessary. |
