25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago. What does it mean?
The thing about "horn bands" is that, since the horn players are full members of the band, it is apparently felt that they must play on every song, whether or not the song benefits from them doing so. Whereas The Beatles in their later years would...
Which songs or musical standards have haunted you?
Top this Slaw: One day in 1972 I came home and found my two dogs gone from the yard. I went to the pound (as they used to be called) every day looking for them, but no Reddy or Belle Isle (as in the Dylan song on Self Portrait). I was heartbroken....
Do you admit that you ever enjoyed listening to:
The first Bee Gees album is great.
Thorens TD 150 super rebuild
A Townshend Rock Elite with a Zeta arm, Ray, which uses the Linn mounting distance. The table came with a pretty thin, stamped steel mounting plate, so I cut an armboard from a slab of 1/4" acrylic. Carbon Fiber would be even better, I imagine.

"Warm" I get, but wth does "thick" mean? "Not to (sic) fast sound"? You want a "slow" sounding pre? So, a warm, thick, and slow sounding pre. That should be pretty easy to find, and cheap!
I'll Take "Songs About People" for $200
Not Robbie Robertson, onhwy61. He’s a capitalist through and through, and doesn't believe in sharing the wealth ;-). Maybe Rick Danko---he found and rented BP, in which he, Richard Manuel, and Garth Hudson lived (Levon Helm was still in the Gulf, ...

What does it mean? It means you’re taking Robert Lamm (the songs writer) way yonder too seriously. ;-)
What are the smallest speakers that are clean and flat down to 20hz?
Gotta be the single-panel Maggies, Wolf. But the old 3-panel Tympanis have plenty of bass, and of a very high quality There are people using the two bass panels of Tympanis as woofers, and even as subs!QUAD ESL’s have even less bass than Maggies, ...
Best female vocal recording on CD?
Oh yeah, Mary Gauthier is a fairly new discovery of mine. I have a couple albums of hers, still have to get the one produced by T-Bone Burnett.
