Know of a "Dirt Cheap" tweak?
...as for 'cheap', dirt's already been mentioned along with sand.  How much cheaper can one get?!  Go outside with a baggie, scoop some up and avoid the dog's 'deposit', seal bag, go back inside, place bag on CDP or whatever, viola'.Factoring in '...

Now, if you opt to do ALL of the above.....Cups, tile, bricks, sandbags, BB's, metal plates, floor braces, et all...Your gear will resemble a construction site that needs 'tidying up', and edging towards my 'steampunk' speakers' in general appeara...
A speaker that looks like a driver or a driver that looks like a speaker?
In a related forum, this has gotten some varied comments.  I could see this betwixt your drivers...https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/865809794/wheel-by-miniot...in fact, there's a pic of it between 2, on the wall...Again, minimalist isn't bad.....

Mmmm....my 2 cents....Volya, in the interest of 'market research', so far you're getting 'limited appeal' from the 'philes so far.  The design is stark, to be kind;  as a modernist myself if they live up to claimed performance and I liked how they...
Watch out boys, there's a new game in town!
Well, it's a tangential tracker so it's certainly better than some 'lifestyle' offerings currently hitting the market.  I'll agree with Greg that not being able to swap carts out is a drawback, given that we all have our faves 'n preferences.  It'...
Any electronic modders here at Audiogon?
...and thanks for the morale support, guys. *S*I'll be the first to admit that they're not 'perfect', but for a 'work in progress' they're coming along.  Every iteration is showing improvement which is half of the satisfaction for me.  The balance...

I mod innocent drivers into Walsh radiators.  I can't afford a pair of German Physiks so I amuse myself with a different sort of complexity...I got a laugh from Samsung's byline from their Academy Awards commercials, and decided 'Yup, that's about...
Anyone know what these are
Put it on eBay.If some nitwit is willing to pay major money for a Cheeto that 'looks like Something', you'll never know unless you run it up the flagpole....You can thank me later...*L*
Anyone know what these are
Well, now it's an interesting paperweight you've bought. You could call it an early prototype 'mouse' and see who takes the bait... ;)
The "most foolish" loudspeaker tweak/upgrade ... is
...nothing draws a crowd like a crowd. ;)I think I'll just sit over here and watch the floor show.....Someone should really cater these events. ;)
What to do with old LP inner sleeve?
One thought...If it's a record that's played 'semi-often', substitute a generic sleeve for the original.  Store the originals in a file, labeling same as to what it goes to.In that way, the sleeve is spared the wear 'n tear of the old in 'n out.  ...
Axpona audio show. Is it worth seeing(hearing)?
...and I'll suggest taking a pair of ear plugs or muffs.  'Listener fatigue' is easily avoided that way...save your 'best equipment' for what you'd like to hear instead of having to endure it all...Comfortable shoes....you will be on your feet, ch...
Is anyone thinking about building Walsh drivers?
Still beating the rocks together....progress has been slowed by 'real life' concerns but things are still generally underway.  Next step is the CNC'ing of the supports and cone construction.  One of the V.3's decided to 'go south' so motivation to...
