Speaker phase observation and question?
Hey chewie70....late post, but I've 'been away'/out of town/preoccupied...For eq and room correction, I run a dedicated/in line Behringer 8024 (yeah, PA stuff...but it works nicely and is reasonably 'clean') and the APO eq off Source Forge with th...

Stepping back to tolerate the future? *L*Just kidding, y'all....between the 'one hit wonders' and the artists that had and have 'legs', it's good to hear something 'intelligent' (?) and not merely commercial racket...Play on/play loud. *G* ;)  I w...

What drugs do you use to enhance your listening experience?
After all the posts here from y'all in the legal states and provinces up in the Great White North, I'm going to try to get some med herb under the pretense that I'm allergic to civilization and it's the only thing that will keep me from becoming a...
Time for Two Ways !
Hey Eric, I don't think you sent me a 2-way anything, but I could be wrong and frequently am. *L*  That 'senior thing', y'know...;)  If that was done 'elsewhere' than here on AG, I'd have to backtrack for it and time is a tad short right now.  If ...

I'll vote for the ESS AMT ribbon and 10" version with the passive radiator too.  Still own a pair of the ribbons....The 2 way format is what I'm playing with in my DIY pursuits, coupled to a sub.  Makes the most sense to me...Nice threads, Eric.  ...
Audiophile Humor
abnerjack, yeah, I've stood accused of delusional activities.  Nothing to the level of the vid of the couple smoking bath salts and his jumping out the window, which may have been triggered by listening to 'death metal'...Equipment unknown in that...

jaybe, "Best of Show" award. ;)  Hits closest to some of the hyperbole surrounding various objects offered for our attention.  It has gotten to the point that what used to be taken with a grain of salt has grown to the size of a salt lick..."Whaty...

"Listen to music like you care about it. "I'm not sure if that's a plus or a warning. *LOL*"HEY, this thing's gots tubes, so it's Got to be Good, Right?!"Well, at least it's relatively inexpensive.  C'mon, someone buy it, flog it mercilessly.  U...
Amps from the 1980's -- What gear holds up sonically? Reliably?
Cocaine is/was God's way of telling you that you made too much money, or thought you did...;)Anyway, one shouldn't partake in anything your spirit can't kill.  Speed still kills, and opioids, alcohol, herbage and anything else should still be appr...
Speaker phase observation and question?
I'll vote with Eric on this...I've been applying room correction for a couple of decades now, adjusting for 'flat' as much as is practical given the existing space, the stuff within it, and the drivers applied to it.  Once one gets 'used to it', i...
Big Krells Have Vanished From The Used Market
Noble100 made an interesting point....MHO.....Not so long ago, a bet was made that computer printers could be combined and made to add scan, copy, and fax functions.  Don't know if anyone or any organization collected on that bet, but it's pretty ...

I used to own a pair of Kenwood L-07 monoblocks that were sweet.  Clean, clear, and strong enough for the space and my taste of the era.Let them go in a 'momentary lapse of reason'....we all seem to have those on occasion. *L*
Wife trouble
I'm lucky.  Spouse likes my 'hobby', and enjoys the music it can reproduce.  She has her tropical fish indoors and plants outdoors, which I enjoy.  We don't spend a fortune on either, as a general rule.  We find other things to argue about that ar...
