Has anyone used the new Innuos 2.0 Sense music app? Compared it to Roon? @sns Trouble with that is that the more powerful the processor the higher the noise level…
SUT - electrical theory and practical experience Am I the only one shaking my head?
I have found out why new cables and tweaks actually work! Yawn: we started with a Swiffer and end up in senseless discussion about fuses and powercables? Peace on earth and Merry Christmas to all
SUT - electrical theory and practical experience @rauliruegas just read your own posts, preferably before posting!
I have found out why new cables and tweaks actually work! @mwinkc , if your left arm is shaky enough that‘d be ‘de trop’
SUT - electrical theory and practical experience @atmasphere I find it quite incredible how many people on A‘gon indulge in absolutist and arrogant language without any knowledge basis for their argument. Don‘t be discouraged by them, your contributions are always well founded and instructive....
I have found out why new cables and tweaks actually work! If you cook the swiffer in your microwave the added ionic charge will increase the feeling of motion in any dance music you listen to. Only works on 1200 Watts microwaves without an earth wire, though. Beware of your hair standing up when you take...
What is the most important cable in your system @Kota1 I have a dedicated spur and use a whole range of power cleaning equipment from Acoustic Revive, Akiko Audio, Furutech,Isotek et al. AddPowr was the latest addition. It made a major contribution in what I‘d like to describe of the flow of t...
What is the most important cable in your system In a good streaming system it’s the Ethernet cable between switch/filter and streamer. Btw, a lot of analogue cables benefit from the Schroeder method of doubling up. This particularly applies between Dac and preamp/amp.
USB yet again @designsfx I am not aware of any SPDif connections faster than 192KHz, conversely double AES/EBU can run at 384MHz
USB yet again @sns my point, precisely. I also steuggle with dependence on cables and cleaned up power
AES/EBU vs XLR cables for digital connection @jerryg123 On Ethernet: Pink Faun. On USB: Intona
USB yet again @itsjustme technically speaking it slaves the server’s clock, i.e. data is requested by the dac rather than the server sending it on its own clock. I stated that SPDif is speed constrained, not AES/EBU.
USB yet again @fuzztone care to be less opaque and dismissive?
USB yet again @lalitk agree with your assessment. It seems though pretty damning that both on Ethernet and USB even on high end equipment you have to engage in extensive optimisation efforts before you get a decent result. As I said the single box solution ... |
