Krell and CJ? Yes, XLR to RCA adapters were used in what I described. I can't understand why CJ won't go with XLR. Impedance mismatch may have been the problem in what I described above, in which case one of them would have had to go anyway.
Burning a CD I looked for Yamaha blanks too but to no avail. I read perhaps the same thing you did, stating Yamaha was the best. I think Fujifilm was #2 or so and you can only find those at CVS(!?). Easy CD creator is what I also use and never have any problem...
Krell and CJ? Funny you ask because a friend has a CJ PV10 and got a great deal on a Krell KSA200 and paired them up for a while. It sounded pretty good but not nearly as good as with his usual Classe CA300 so he sold the Krell. The soundstage seemed constricte...
Burning a CD Imation has been lots of problems for me. I use the audio TDKs now without any problems whatsoever - and at 8x speed. Arthur
MIT Love 'em or Hate 'em Obviously Maxgain was right and it is good riddence.
Mcintosh mc2505 has a hum on the transformer...... I still think you have something wrong. Get it checked out by someone reputable. Arthur
Mcintosh mc2505 has a hum on the transformer...... sounds like something is wrong. All the Mcs I have had never made any noise no matter how hard you listened. It may need to be checked out. Arthur
any audio buffs in SW VA? Grim indeed! I will keep Raleigh in mind but for now, time is too limited. Thanks for the thoughts.Arthur
MIT Love 'em or Hate 'em Kennyb - I agree 110% as I have listened to a Spectral/MIT/Wilson Sophia setup at Sound Decision in Maryland - the most detail I have ever heard. However, despite loving the sound of my MITs in my system, it was too much for me. I pulled out one o...
Seasoned Mcintosh Fans lend me your ears & advise Hey Jalen - I know what you are going through. I became an instant Mc fan after auditioning the MC352 and C41. Suddenly my Krell equip didn't seem to do it anymore. I have since auditioned or borrowed the MC6200, MC6500, Mc6900, MC2205, Mc240(tube...
MIT Love 'em or Hate 'em I hate to tell "unclecrusty" that he is wrong due to his seeming all-knowingness in his story but here it is: If you read the MIT white papers, you will discover that there is no filtering involved in the MIT speaker cables. It is funny to see wha...
MIT Love 'em or Hate 'em I went from Kimber to MIT and am just amazed. At first they did not sound too different but after a few hundred hours, a very special sound creeped up and it impresses me very much. The imaging, soundstage, and bass are incredible. I just love min...
How long it take to run in brand new loudspeaker? My experience was the same as Bufus and I have found that a few hundred hours are needed before reaching steady-state sound no matter what low number the manufacturer gives for break-in. You may just have bought what are laid back speakers to your...
Should Class A Amps be left on?? From a lifespan viewpoint, any heat is bad. Thermal cyclic failure is logrithmically dependant on power (half the power = 100 times more cycles before failure) so especially high power amps should not be turned on and off too often. But, if it is ...
Am I the only one who thinks B&W is mid-fi? For my $0.005 I agree that they seem bright and not too involving. I had N802s for a while and was glad to get rid of them (now I know why I got such a good deal on them from the last guy!). For their retail price, they were not good. For the used... |
