Homage to those who are pleased with your audio rig prentice Wow retired and all that you mentioned. That is wonderful. Not quite to the retirement age, but I think my idea of an ideal situation might be very close to yours. Although my wife and I would like to travel around for some months.... if...
SVS sub owners, Past and Present Glad you got the sub you wanted and the sound you wanted. This HIFI and audio game has its ups and downs, but it's really fun when it sounds good. Sometimes it takes a little while, a small adjustment or struggle ... then the plan comes together.
Narrowing down the field (DAC wise) I was in the same boat as you about 1 year ago. I think the Terminator would be a great choice (It gets stellar reviews online). My choice came down to the Ares II and the Schiit Bifrost II since my budget was not really high. I settled on the Bif...
Why Is Hi Fi Gear So Darn Expensive? Just to throw another different stick into the fire.... on youtube Danny at GR Research often takes apart big name speakers to show audiophiles and really anyone else what you get for the money you spend on high dollar speakers. He has done this w...
For you Odyssey Audio Stratos amp owners I tried the Tempest and Candela with that amp. Unfortunately those three pieces of audio gear were the worst I had ever owned... period. I had hum issues from the transformers and that was a common problem with Odyssey audio equipment. Klaus has a...

Ohm Acoustic Corp., Brooklyn NY The Decware website is interesting. They have a speaker that resembles the Ohm design and also have a speaker that resembles the Vandersteen 2 and 3 models?!???
Many higher end preamps are dated and ugly, why is this? "One does not see what is in front of their eyes, one sees what is behind their eyes" ...or the more common truism "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
Ohm Acoustic Corp., Brooklyn NY I had to wait 3 months for my speakers and still waiting on the grills. Also I have been waiting 4 months on parts for my vintage Marantz receiver. It does’nt matter who the company is, parts are hard to come by and manufacturers don’t really want...
Hey - What Happened to the Beware of Viking Acoustics Thread One should be educated about forums that mostly promote the manufacturers on those forums. Audiocircle is one that comes to mind. Sharing good and bad experiences on a forum can be a constructive tool but only if done in a reasonable, logical and ...

What is the BLUE JEANS equivalent for Power Cables? I have used both Signal Cables and BJC and like them both for PC. I like BJC for interconnects but have used Signal as well. Also I like Pangea cables and Analysis Plus for speaker cables. |
