Borresen Loudspeakers

Had the opportunity to attend the launch event of the Borresen X1 loudspeakers last night in Chicago @nextlevelhifi ​​​​​with @jays_audio_lab. From their M6 at $550k per pair all the way down to the newly launched X1 speakers last night at $5500 your ears will smile. Amazing what a 4.5” driver can do. If you are in the market for any price range speaker about $5,000 and up you have to hear these. Imaging is 3 dimensional, larger than life soundstage and just absolutely stunning performance with a look that will fit any room. This manufacturer out of Denmark really gets it and I don’t care what price point you are looking at these speakers will out perform speakers double the price.  If you are buying speakers up to $25k you have to hear their $11k option.  The rep for Borresen is hitting all the shows/events over the next several months in the US. Oh, and by the way, I loved the X1 so much I bought the first pair that will ship to me in early March!

Woots: Your speakers come in yet, mine did at dealer. Now I have to have them shipped to me, way too far to drive... I thought they would come in smaller boxes as their size isn't that big. Dealer said they came on a pallet!

Enjoy the X3s, guys. I did have the small Scansonic MB 2.5s in the white color and they worked better than I'd have thought. A gamble in white as they were a rare, 'new' purchase.  The break-in period is long but truly worth it. Hang in there!

@gandalf I think mine arrive at the dealer this week or next.  I'm like you, too far away so will need them shipped here.  Let me know how it goes with your set up.

My X1s are on their way to me now... they had to be sent via freight (145lbs), great thing is I can listen to them before Axpona as I hope they have the bigger models there as well.

I was biased with the x3. The first time I heard it ,for it had less then 200 hours on it 

and the way it’s designed with the deep cabinet you have to turn them up a bit to get the5 inch drivers moving counting the surround ,I went back 2 weeks later and they now sound much more balanced and played down to lower30s AhZ in room 

and less then18 inches from the front wall. The wave guide and tweeter far better then most any domes in breaking out everything in the recording and very. Deep wide soundstage .the X1 I heard and it’s a must getting the matching stands ,their 

other companies Ansuz has very good audio cables and pucks with different types of bearings That bring in the detail further but price goes up. Their AAvic I280 integrated amp class D on another level. Beating many more expensive class A-AB  

electronics , this $10k integrated has a dac card thsts very good ,but the integrated amp ,that I hears against topAccuphase 4000, Luxmans new $12k, McIntosh , Hegel600, Pass labs , and Boulder , the AAvic had more power and control very detailed and natural and much more blacker quiet background .it has a lot of technologies others Donot it uses well over 100 mini Tesla coils passive and active to further lower the noice floor .they make a i180 model for around$8k   And much more $$ expensive models .the i -280 integrated is the sweet spot in the range Everything from. Them is Quality.  They even have a 100wpc entry level with dac,streamer for around $6k  ,respectable but not in the I180,280,580 league. Danish audio group is very good quality and worth hearing .
