As the title states, is there a benefit to this? I have a Luxman L-507z integrated amp.

My advice is: Make sure your Cornwalls are wired correctly internally. One of my new Fortes was wired out-of-phase.
Shame on speaker companies for perpetuating this malarkey!

Dwelter: you do know tha'ts a common practice with speaker design and may actually be intentional.
Some designs this is normal you should check to make sure its not intentionally wired that way.
