They like what they like and that’s the end of it. If they don’t like it it’s trash. Others are less so and recognize the advantages and disadvantages of different product designs and understand how each is unique, even those they choose not to live with.

Don't just toss a bomb out there OP - labeling a whole class of amps as "dry and lifeless" is not based in any reality. There are good sounding Class D amps, I have one. The TAD M2500.
