RIP Dave Wilson

Thank you for pushing the envelope,
Thank you for not leaving well enough alone!

Whether you are a fan or not of Wilson Audio speakers, the audio community lost a great designer this year.

“Thank you David Wilson for making your speakers so expensive that only the 1% can afford them!”
”My apologies for my remarks....”

WOW I guess I’ve come up
in a different era. There is really no way to apologize for that remark.

RIP Dave Wilson I think?? is a thread to pay respects to a man who dedicated a big part of his life to audio.

Hey guys, we can all jump on someone who made an inappropriate, rude, or controversial comment.  I totally agree that people should behave in a civilized manner on the forums, and many do not.  However, the man who made the comment in question did add a thoughtful apology / retraction.  I think that is sufficient to cut him some slack.  Most people would not even do that, so I applaud the sincerity and the correction of a mistake.  Now if the rest of the forum using public would follow suit!  Anyway, no reason to pick on him further and distract from the topic of this thread.
+1 marktomaras I read the offending comment. It was wrong to post it. I read the apology. It was right to post it. It is the mature, appropriate thing to do after making a mistake. I wish I had done more of it in my life. I contend that two of the hardest things to do in life are 1) to sincerely apologize and seek forgiveness; and 2) to sincerely accept apologies and extend forgiveness.
Peace
Al
It got a little ugly over here: https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=158025.0

Suffering from cancer is nothing you want to witness, two of my buddies just passed from it, 60 and 61 years, watching their decline was horrible.

RIP Dave Wilson.
