We Need A Separate Forum for Fuses

LOL, I'll bet I gotcha on that Title! ;)  BTW, I put this thread under "Tech Talk" category as it involves the system physically, not tangentially.

More seriously, two question survey:

1. Do you think designer fuses are A) a Gift to audiophiles, or B) Snake Oil

2. Have you ever tried them?  Yes or No

In the tradition of such questions on Agon, I'll weigh in as we go along...
Feel free to discuss and rant all you wish, but I would like to see clear answers to the questions. :)

Holy Moly
And I thought the SR Blue fuse thread was seriously deranged......

The answer is easy.

Those that like to waste their money on expensive un-industrial/ un-scientifically proven trinkets like fuses and goo are welcome to waste their money. But DON'T pollute the Audiophile forums trying to sell the stuff to others until the items can and are proven REPEATEDLY by scientific testing to do what is professed they do.

Those who don't believe in them, ignore the subject and save your money. Let the believers run around, drink red cordial and say obviously silly things they cannot prove.

@amg56I I really don't see why someone who notices a difference a fuse makes is doing obviously silly things. Some people hear a difference and some people don't, I don't see why you should castigate someone for it.
Maybe some people don't want to or havn't even tried so please don't rip into people for their beliefs and anyway if it makes us happy then it's our money we are spending.

>>>>I’m afraid you’re following the wrong sheep. NASA was designing advanced fuses for space missions 20 years ago. Didn’t you get the memo. That was just before fancy Audiophile Fuses began to hit the market around 15 years ago.  Coincidence? You decide.

If you seek proof, feel free to conduct your own tests and share the results here. Please remember to tell us exactly how you conducted the tests, so that we can determine if they're valid. In the interim, everyone is free to post their opinions here without your approval or complying with your demands. No one here owes you anything.
