The plinth looks a little big. 

As a an amateur woodworker and a music lover, I think it’s great fun. But I would not mix them together. Millercarbon nailed it, even putting a beer bottle down would bounce that needle a few times. A bong would be worse as it’d probably land on the table after a few hits.

I've dealt with Joel (owner of Audiowood) several times.  What a terrific guy and he makes some pretty cool stuff.

Maybe not to everyone's taste, but he is very creative.

The table reminds me of the one in the lobby at WorldMark Galena.

There was an earlier larger version of the sit and spin turntable used in a movie, but as I recall the spinner was in a French Maid outfit and the "spindle" was a lot bigger. In the end, I would have to say it was better than this one. Which end, you ask? Nevermind.

Your wife will buy one to prevent anyone from rest their feet on the coffee table...

Some of the ideas are creative, if nothing else. Particularly the TT’s... the coffee table thing is a bit novel, an interesting idea nonetheless.
