Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

astro58,

I love the Manfred mann media as well. I have several CD's but I first heard them on LP way back when. Great recordings!Also.. I will to put Grace P. on my to do list. I've only heard the Nocturnals.

So we decided not to go to the Pat Travers event in Versailles, OH. To much of a trek. 5 hour round trip. So arcam88 just reminded me of this albumn:
Pat Travers, Blues Magnet. Fantastic song called "This world we live in". Pat definitely belongs on our guitar hero thread.

Carles Benavent - Quartet
Great "bass" recording recommended by Victor Wooten.
Outstanding musicianship and sonics.

If you crave guitars, try almost anything from the Outlaws. On of my longtime favorites!
By the way, (I've got in my cart), Rory Gallagher "Notes From San Fransisco" on MOV (lp) as an order pending.

Any of you have experience with this lp? Sonics? Thanks.
Nutty,

An Eighties Pool Party? I only hope you blasted out The Cars "Moving In Stereo"?
astro58go,

Yep! Got the sunburn to prove it. We didn’t play "moving in stereo". However, later we did listen to pre 80’s The Cars, S/T CD, indoors on my main system . Rory is one of my favorite guitarist. I have not heard the title you referd to above. But I have a lot of other Rory titles. I like all types, genres of music. And on occasion, I’ll have a "momentary laps of reason" and go rogue on some 80’s or big hair 80’s.

Out by the pool again now. Currently playing, Steely Dan, Countdown to ecstasy.
