Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

But now it's time for shift change.

Take it away Boxer!
Well 219 to be precise ... Lol.
And only 1 tape was a duplicate so quite a good eBay haul I would say.

So without further ado.....

Smokin’ .... Humble Pie.
Walk On .... Boston .

Cassette.

Good job I have a cassette deck in every system now.... Lol.
Ozzy.

What do you think of that CCR at Woodstock?

I think it was Stereo5 who was not impressed with the SQ.
Blind Melon S/ T

Cassette

SQ on this one?
I would be as bold as to say that THIS is the tape anybody should listen to on a great deck if they wanted to know how good cassette replay can sound.

It's that good.......
Reconciled ... The Call.

Probably their best album and a must have 80,s album.

Did not hurt that I Still Believe was in one of my fave 80,s movies The Lost Boys.

I know what I am watching tonight......
uber, That is a great Lou Reed album. Especially like the song "Power & Glory"

Dandy Warhols / 13 Tales
Agreed Boxer, it's a pretty neat album all round.

Like your choice of Dandy Warhohls to follow ... Lol.
I don't have much from the Dandy Warhols, but good music

Coke Weed / Mary Weaver
The 5 Royales, assorted early 60s singles on Apollo and King
Don Covay, Mercy Mercy
Staples Singers, Soul Folk in Action
@northwestmouse, I love The 5 Royales. Do you have a Ravens collection? Love them too!
@bdp24 cool, no. I don't have anything by the Ravens--at least no stand-alone titles. Probably have them unwittingly on a comp somewhere.  I DO have a some stuff by the Falcons, I listen to them quite a bit, especially the songs with Robert Ward on guitar.

Ah yeah, The Falcons, another great vocal group, out of which came Wilson Pickett. Robert Ward is legendary amongst guitarists for, amongst other reasons, his playing through the Magnatone, a very unique sounding combo amp. I worked in a band with a guitarist who had one, and I’ve never heard any other amp that sounded anything like it.
I got dem ol Kosmic Blues again Mama .... Janis Joplin.

This is a spectacular recording and played back via a new to me Jolida Black Ice tube buffer has raised it to new heights indeed.
