Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

nutty
Filth & Fire by Mary Gauthier. Don't despair, late-blooming singer-songwriters! Gurf Morlix---Lucinda Williams' guitarist/harmony singer/bandleader/producer up through and including her break-out Car Wheels On A Gravel Road album---does the same here. This is the kind of artist I hope to discover every time I listen to a new one. I'm usually disappointed---they're rare.
Nice @bdp24 .

She is on my to play list.
Right now.

Strong Persuader .. Robert Cray.

CD
bdp24, Thanks for the lead on Mary Gauthier

uber, Nice cartridge! enjoy

Via Tania / Under a different sky
This album is highly recommended if you like things a little off kilter
The Dirty Truth ... Joanne Shaw Taylor.

Great British blues woman imho.

Qobuz.

+1 Joanne Shaw Taylor

Nutty.

Unfortunately Qobuz only has that album and her latest Wild, in its catalog.

😕😕😕
This is the Sound ...Cellar Darlings.

Stellar album imho.
Genre is described as folk metal!
Qobuz
uber, Interesting genre (& one I never heard) folk metal. Would you consider this album closer to folk than metal, or is it on the harder side?

Asobi Seksu / Rewolf
Boxer.

After listening I would say folk rock, not metal.

More like early Fleetwood Mac meets The Scorpions rebooted into the 2010,s.

Whatever Anna Murphy can surely sing.
Am I the Enemy ... The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

These guys do not get the airtime they deserve imho. Our very local hometown heroes being from Middleburg just 5 miles away.

Caught them on their 10th anniversary tour where they just played their entire first album in album order.
Tight!
Dave Alvin - Blackjack David
I've never listened to this before.Love his voice!

Earlier you asked what Codeine Velvet Club sounded like.

Now I listen again it is very similar to Manic Street Preachers with The Anchoress on vocals.

Not sure if that helps anymore than The Fratellis... Lol.
Death Vessel / Stay close
Although by the name of this band you would think they were a metal band... Not even close. They are more like folk & a great band at that.
Ocean Avenue …. Yellowcard.

Another "hometown heroes" band.
Even though they only garnered acclaim and success after their move to California these guys originated here in Jacksonville and played their final live show right here as well.
Heck yes!

Just found this on Qobuz.

Slayed ....   Slade.

A True blast from my English past!

Between these, Sweet, Gary Glitter etc the English " Top of the Pops" was ruled!

You had to be there!
Lives in the balance .... Jackson Browne.

CD.

Still digging the sq through the cec player and the $1 or less cds available.
