Watched Stop Making Sense on Prime last night; near-perfect concert film. So spinning Remain In Light tonight.
Steve Earl/Guitar Town, The New York Dolls/Live From Royal Festival Hall........
Fun run today
Floyd - The Wall- remastered
Getz/Gilberto - AP 45rpm, staggeringly great
Muddy Waters - Folk Singer - AP 33, picked it up today - unbelievable.
Pet Sounds on 33 1/3 AP, can't imagine that the 45rpm could be THAT much better??
Pretenders - Learning to Crawl - Mofi
Andrew Bird - Noble Beast
Shelly Manne/Bill Evans - AP 45rpm - superb in all respects
Paul Desmond - Take Ten
Currently cleaning...

The Eurythmics "In the Garden"...2018 re-master..."from the original 1/2" master tapes"

All I care about is SQ.. We'll see.
The Police - Zenyatta Mendatta - vintage Superdisc
Cachaito - World Circuit pressing - I can't recommend this record enough.
Boston - Boston - reissue on blue vinyl

Leo Kottke "My Feet Are Smiling" original pressing

Mark Kozelek & Jimmy Lavalle "Perils From the Sea"
Still very valid and appropriate for (today).

Graham Nash "Songs for Beginners" /Classic Records/ a solid 10 on SQ
Currently being cleaned...

Cruzados "after dark"...I recall this one as being a "sleeper" to a degree.

The Thorns "S/T" ( Matthew Sweet. Shawn Mullins, Pete Droge)

but first....Leo Kottke "Burnt Lips"
King of Limbs - Radiohead

45 RPM Clear Limited Edition Pressing

Pro-Ject Signature 10 with Hana SL - Nagra VPS/MPS - Nagra Classic PRE/DAC - In-Tone Reference 100 Speakers
FWIW: The Thorns lp is proving to be quite good. I bought it when first released but never played it, maybe once. Has some of the heavy hitters accompaining such as Jim Keltner, Roy Bittan, etc.....

@intone

Was that Radiohead pressing 45rpm, only available through their website? Most don’t list their systems here. Are you here only to promote your speaker line? Since I directed comments toward a previous music post you made with no response, I’m now wondering?

Happy 4th!
In honor of John Fogerty’s courage years ago with his seminal song "Fortunate Son"... I’m putting on "Blue Moon Swamp".

Let there be NO DOUBT... Donald John Trump is a fortunate son!

@slaw

The “King of Limbs” pressing is the original Limited Edition set directly from Radiohead/w.a.s.t.e. circa 2011.  It includes four 45 RPM LPs and one CD in a nice hardcover binder and a “newspaper” with artwork, lyrics and credits.

I’ve always liked “King of Limbs”, but it has grown on me more over time, especially on LP.  I love the songs “Bloom” and “Seperator”!

Excuse me for not replying to your comment.  I try to keep up, but some of these threads (especially this one) move too fast for me.  So many great music recommendarions on here!

I gave up promoting a long time ago.
Casssandra Wilson/New Moon Daughter, ZZ Top/First Album, John Lee Hooker/The Healer
Phoebe Snow. 1974. Shelter records. $4. Fabulous. Clean, crisp, transparent recording (before they destroyed music with digital.)
I played the first lp in the Monkees Mono Box again, then put on Michael Nesmith and The First National Band "Loose Salute"

They both sound great!
@slaw

We love Andrew Bird!

Armchair Apocrypha - Andrew Bird

Pro-Ject RPM3 with Hana EL - Sutherland KC Vibe - Nagra Classic INT - In-Tone S100 Monitors
here's another...

Andrew Bird  "Break It Yourself"

I had forgotten I owned this one as well.
I've recleaned the above two AB lps and am now putting on "Armchair..."

The SQ on these lps is fantastic!
Played it earlier this morning...a deep cleaning and some flattening later...

Mudcrutch "2".

The more focused cleaning with my steamer then a 50 minute cycle in my US cleaner resulted in an extremely quiet lp. Unlike before with a similar, although less focused method. It makes a difference folks.

Great lp!
I had thought about it through the week... a comparison of my two "Quadrophenia" lps. One is an original Track, the other is the Universal? from around 10 years or so ago. Not much info on the later...made in the EU/Polydor. No year is stated. I thought, based upon my memory, it was from Universal. A re-issue or a re-master???
Been jammin' to NY...

Thinking I'll put on The Outlaws "Hurry Sundown"...
Just steamed Bob Seger "The Distance". It was a gift, looks to be rarely played, and I’m sure it is an early pressing.
It’s being US’d right now, my friends...

Having said that.. Blackfoot "Strikes"...being listened to without being cleaned in 30? years?
Valerie June "The Order of Time"  great lp/solid 10!

Jose Gonzalez "Junip"
