@slaw hey, sorry, lots going on at the house and keep getting pulled away. I got a Forte S by European Audio Team (EAT) and put a Kiseki Purple Heart on it. It sounds phenomenal and still have break in to do on the cart |
Which turntable did you get @6t5-gto ? |

A soothing day of music today. Soft stuff John Klemmer - Touch Excellent saxophone, puts you in a mellow mood. Tim Weisberg - 4 Got this last week but just got a chance to play it. Great stuff. Michael Hedges - Aerial Boundaries - Got this last week, too. Second time to play it. Outstanding acoustic guitar work. Windham Hill sure knows how to produce a record. Excellent piece of vinyl. |
Paolo Nutini "Last Night in the Bittersweet" Cheating on my TT tonight. Ordered the Paolo Nutini record today, from the UK, so I'm streaming it from Spotify for now, until the vinyl arrives. My music buddy is in Scotland and Ireland for 3 weeks on vacation, and he heard this new (2022 release) Paolo Nutini there. Told me it's the best record of 2022, so far. I was skeptical, due to being familiar with Paolo Nutini from his minor hit - "New Shoes" from back around 2007. Anyway, "New Shoes" was a fun little pop song, but nothing to get too excited about. Streamed the new record - "Last Night in the Bittersweet" and it's fantastic! Really like it, hence the order of the LP from the UK. Hope the vinyl sounds even better. Recommended. Stream it first, before committing, if you too are skeptical. |
@j_husker Congratulations on going through the procedure of knee replacement. It must have been pretty bad for you prior to the surgery and your choice of having it replaced will bring you many years of greater comfort and mobility. I have had a hip replacement (4 years ago) and it was the best decision for me. I was afraid that I would lose skiing and hiking. Not so, I am skiing as powerful as ever. Joint replacement technology and procedure has come a million miles over the past 40 years (since it first became available). My words of advice, though, is to follow the doctors' direction to the letter. That is, exactly the prescribed amount of movement and exercise to begin with, no more and no less. Then, as you progress into physical therapy, participate at the fullest extent possible. The payoff is great, if you do. My other words of wisdom are to spin as much vinyl as possible and enjoy the music to the fullest extent. Best to you on an excellent recovery. 👍😃 |

Beethoven-Symphony No,5(Ozawa LSC-3132) Side 1 Pointer Sisters-Special Things Side 1 Larry Vuckovich-City Sounds, Villages Voices Side 2 SQ Audiophile The Bama Band-ST Side 2 SQ Audiophile The Scott Hamilton Quintet-The Right Time(CJ-311) Side 2 SQ Audiophile Alice Cooper-Greatest Hits Side 1 Scott McKenzie-The Voice Of... Side 1 Mel Torme/Buddy Rich-Together Again-For The First Time Side B SQ Audiophile Finally spun some vinyl!! 4/8 Audiophile SQ recordings is an unattainable goal if you buy recordings you like no just based on SQ. Alice had the worst SQ. Sometimes the "Greatest Hits" versions are poorly done. I will give the SQ crown To Larry Vuckovich over Hamilton’s CJ release due to being less edgy(relaxed) in the treble. |
