Barry Manilow-This One’s For You Side 1 SQ*

House Of Lords-ST Side B

Sergio Mendes-ST Side 1 SQ*

George Benson/Earl Klugh-Collaboration Side 2 SQ Audiophile

Wasp-Live ...In The Raw Side 1

Neil Sedaka-Sedaka’s Back Side 1 SQ Audiophile

Phoebe Snow-Against The Grain Side 2 SQ*

Rush-Moving Pictures Side II SQ*

Despite my interest in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, Friday night vinyl endured. My playlist idea was 70’s light and 80’s heavy with a couple of Jazz Fusion recordings to complete the list. As expected House Of Lords and Wasp had the lowest but still acceptable SQ. Sedaka takes the SQ crown for having a smoother slightly less mechanical sound over a very competent Doug Sax mastering.

The Pretenders-"Learning To Crawl"

MOFI, Gain 2, Ultra Analog, Limited Edition, 180 Gram

Tal Wilkenfeld-"Love Remains"

US, Limited Edition

(IMHO,THE best female bass player ever and one of the best no matter. Saw her live with Jeff Beck and she absolutely blew me away!)

Lucinda Williams "Good Souls Better Angels'"

2020/Highway Twenty Records - Thirty Tigers

John Cougar Mellencamp-"Scarecrow"

US, Limited Edition 30th Anniversary, 180 Gram, Gray Vinyl

Blue Mitchell - "Down With It" from the Blue Note Tone Poet series.  The performance, the technical reproduction, and the packaging = pure enjoyment!

By the way, everything from the Tone Poet series sounds extraordinary!

@orenstein...totally agree about the Tone Poet Series! I have a couple dozen titles now and they are indeed very well done.

Also, the regular Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series is really good and a little less money.

I'll play...

Scolohofo-"Oh!"
