What are you streaming tonight?

As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares.
We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media.
I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations.
I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.

Graceland - Paul Simon

Amazon HD. For the most part I have not been able to tell a great deal of difference between HD and standard def Amazon Music. Probably a limitation of my gear but for whatever reason on this album it actually makes a noticeable difference.

I can see Chevy Chase dancing to You can call me Al.
The Chemical Wedding ..... Bruce Dickinson.

Qobuz.

Basically What Iron Maiden should have been during their somewhat boring Blaze Bayley years.
Thanks, Uber.  Gonna be a long slow process, but at least the insurance company is A+.   No hassles at all.
Unfortunately, the spouse is like, “Since all this loud repair work will take a couple months, we should move out and get the guest bath and kitchen done...”
With COVID-19 having her work from home, I can’t fault her logic.
Mary Chapin Carpenter - The Dirt and The Stars

Qobuz Hi-Res

The water mitigation crew finally took their fans out of the basement, I’ve got this old shirt on down in Mary’s Land, listening to her latest album. Things are slowly returning to normal. Life is good.
uberwaltz OP

Yep, heard about Trini Lopez passing away this morning.  Never listened to him much; he was more my parents generation.  I listened to his first album today, and I have to say he was quite the entertainer.
Bobbie Gentry - The Delta Sweete
Qobuz

Tried to shake it up a little and listen to some Bad Brains.  Just couldn’t get into it tonight.
It was Pandora premium but after trying Tidal which is more 19.99 it can't be beat.
drlisz

My ten cents worth here....
Give Qobuz a trial, its just $14.99 a month ,has plenty of full hires titles right up to 24/192 and none of the Masters MQA malarkey that Tidal has.

I been there and tried them all and Qobuz is the keeper.
IMHO, YMMV.
Kian Soltani - Dvořák: Cello Concerto, Qobuz Hi-Res

I second uber's recommendation of Qobuz by the way.
big_greg

Thank you.   Feeling like Job lately.
And Qobuz has been meeting my needs very well.  Highly recommend for the price.
Finished up Bobbie Gentry’s Delta Sweete this morning. This album just drew me in. She certainly has an engaging voice, and the song selection is incredible. And it had the added advantage of calming the dog during a thunderstorm.

Chris Connor - Chris Connor

Qobuz
I’m obsessive about music. Have been my whole life. I have huge playlists of all sorts of genres I’ve hand-picked everything on Tidal HI-FI. Lately it’s been mostly around building and listing to playlists of the Deutsche Grammophon Classical catalogue (it’s over 2,000 pieces and counting and I’ve only gotten through their 2020 and part of their first year of listings). Lots of high quality MQA recordings. Also, have been listening to my playlist of their entire Rudy Van Gelder engineered jazz recordings. Incredibly great variety with that golden age sound from his famous study in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. If anyone is interested message me and I’ll be happy to send you playlists. I’ve put in thousands of hours over the years. Lots of ambient, rock, folk, opera, world, great African albums like the Touré-Rachel Collective - Tel Aviv Sessions; Vincent Segal & Ballake Sissoko - Chamber Music. Anyway, music is my obsession!

Pat Metheny Group - S/T, Qobuz Hi-Res

I was pretty excited when I saw they had put out all these Pat Metheny albums in Hi-Res.  I tried playing American Garage and there was something wrong with the first file, like it had been put in a blender and kept skipping back and forth to different parts of the song.  This one is sounding fantastic though.
A lot of his music I don't care for but some nice ones. This cut is fun.
Adam Holzman, from his Manifesto album.Try Jumping' Jupiter.
Listening last night to The Essential Julian Bream, RCA red seal, catalog# 88883746962.  24/44.1 on Qobuz.  In the NY Times article about him yesterday, the author mentioned one of his goals was to bring pleasure to people with his playing, and these excellent RCA recordings certainly succeeded at that for me.
Charles Lloyd "The Water Is Wide"

Terrific lineup accompanying Mr. Lloyd ... Brad Mehldau, John Abercrombie, Larry Grenadier, and Billy Higgins.

via Qobuz

Pink Floyd - The Wall, Qobuz.  My little Harbeth P3ESR continue to amaze me.  This is one of my most listened to recordings and I'm noticing little details that I never noticed before.
Nightmare ..... Avenged Sevenfold.
Qobuz streaming in the car, love modern tech!

Possibly the greatest hard rock album of the 21st century in my not so humble opinion!

If anyone can listen to the song Victim and not be moved they should check their pulse.....
That might just be my favorite Cat Stevens album!

Tea for the Tillerman gets all the press but I feel Teaser is better all round.

👍👍
I am kinda torn between both.   When I listen to one I usually follow right away with the other.
Tea for the Tillerman 50th anniversary release coming out soon.  Not a remastered release; Cat Stevens/Yusuf actually re-recorded the whole album with his son and as many of the original musicians he could get.
Calming Music For Dogs

Qobuz

Our new pound puppy has been stressed out since the tornado hit our house last week.  Still stays in the closet most of the day when she hears thunder.  A little light jazz to relax her.  Search “Music for dogs” in Qobuz.   Who knew this was a whole sub-genre.
Seriously?
There is a sub genre for that.
You learn something new every day!
Hope she/ he settles down soon.
Didn’t last long. She went back to her safe space.  But at least I learned something about the music business.
John Coltrane - Both Directions At Once: The Lost Album (Deluxe Edition)

Qobuz Hi-Res
I just started streaming last month and primarily use Qobuz and Tidal. Spotify brings up enough music I'm unable to find on these so I'm keeping it for the time being but I prefer the SQ of Qobuz & Tidal. My Node 2i is connected to the dac of my Cary 306. Best sound I've heard from my setup to date.
Listening to a lot of Chet Baker and Art Pepper. AP's Nature Boy a real highlight.
