As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares. We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media. I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations. I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.
Alice Cooper - Detroit Stories, Qobuz. I think this is a love it or hate it selection. It's campy and fun and maybe not what you'd expect from someone Alice's age, but I really enjoyed it. Great production by Bob Ezrin and Alice sounds like he's all in on his performances.
Various Artists - Is It Rolling Bob? A Reggae Tribute To Bob Dylan
Qobuz
Bob Dylan songs always lend themselves well to reinterpretation. This album proves the point. Many of his older classics are covered by established reggae musicians but still sound fresh. Well worth it if you like either/both Dylan and reggae.
Foo Fighters - Medicine at Midnight, Qobuz Hi-Res. I've never been much of a Foo Fighters fan, but this is a really good record. Good songwriting and they seem a lot more mature as musicians.
Anyone looking at today's new material on Qobuz will notice not one but TWO releases by Paulo Fresu, my favorite Sardinian trumpeter for the last couple of months. He published them to celebrate his 60-th birthday 2 days ago. Please check out his earlier material too.
Story has it that she was really a nice Jewish girl from Brooklyn names Amy Camus. Her agent changed her name and established a backstory to lend her a bit of exoticism. Of course, that’s what our lizard alien overlords want us to think...
I’ve been on a Gabor Szabo jag all day: Bacchinal, The Sorcerer, Small World, and, with Chico Hamilton: El Chico and The Further Adventures of El Chico. Amazed that he got his sound out of a large acoustic guitar (Martin D45) not usually associated with jazz.
