As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares. We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media. I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations. I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.
@uberwaltz, give Dylan's Planet Waves a try. It's from '74, recorded live in the studio with The Band backing him. MoFi put it our recently on SACD and LP, and the sound is very direct, live in the room. Very little artificial processing (electronic reverb and/or echo, etc.). It's one of his lesser-known albums (his only non-Columbia release, done for Asylum), but I love it.
@bdp24 Thank you I will give it a spin. One thing I really love about these music threads, there is always somebody with great knowledge of music willing to share.
@david_ten Yes David, moving in my direction indeed!
Pretty funny that the majority of Brit punk bands started with The! The Stranglers, The Adverts, The Jam, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Vibrators,The Police( yes they were part of the punk scene late 70,s Britain) You get the picture.
This is what I am streaming tonight. A thread from exactly 16 years ago. I think many of you will find it nostalgic and interesting. If you read all the responses, you will see why I placed it in this thread about streaming. You may feel like Marty from Back to the future. See bomarc’s post and remember it was written on August 11, 2002.
