Wharfdale Aura 2

Has anybody heard these, any impressions? The only review I could find was Erin's audio corner, I'm considering these and would like other opinions. Owned Littons in the past didn't care that much for the SQ.

If you didn't like the Lintons, why are you considering another speaker from the same manufacturer when there are so many choices?

While I respect Wharfdale as a brand and that the Aura 2 may be a good speaker, I agree with @roxy54 that in the $2500 range there are a lot of excellent alternatives.  I’ll mention Fritz Carbon, Revival Atalante 3, ProAc Tablette, and Reference 3a de Capo just to name a few.  Frankly I’d probably take any of these over the Aura 2, but the point is it’s worth doing some research into what else is out there at this level if you haven’t already.  Just my $0.02 FWIW, and best of luck.

Thanks, everyone, I am relocating and downsizing my equipment, watched Erin's audio corner review of the Aura 2. The size and aesthetics look good but I just didn't want to jump into something without some due diligence.  There is not much out there other than Erin for comparison. The new listening space is pretty large & bright so I think floorstanders are going to be a little boomy. My budget is under $5000 for good all-genre speakers but very little experience with good bookshelves. Frontend Hegel 590 w/outboard streamer and DAC.

This doesn’t make sense to me.  What are the room dimensions?  If it’s large you might be better off with floorstanders as monitors might struggle to provide enough output.  Boom would be more of a concern in a smaller room, not a larger one.
