+1 on Hegel, a h390 or larger should fit your needs.
B&W 705 S3 with bad acoustics
Thanks everyone. I was planning on using REW once I got a sound signature that was somewhat palatable.  I'm hesitant going back to horns, previous owned Forte IV's which were a love/hate relationship. The thought had crossed my mind though. It'...
B&W 705 S3 with bad acoustics
Thank you for yhe advice. I contacted mini-dsp and quarried if a mini-dsp Flex with Dirac would help my room. The answer was no, it cannot correct room echoing. I do have a large area rug which I'm sure helps but not nearly enough. Just trying to ...

Help with high end bookshelf speakers
Misstl questions WHY I ask about speakers, its due to change of location and terrible room acoustics. When moving I kept the core system but sold speakers thinking I would purchase some that fit best in the new house. Purchased a set of KRF R3 met...
Help with high end bookshelf speakers
Wow, this is kind of overwhelming, it all sounds great.    @oldrooney seems to have similar room issues, think I'll try integrating a good sub in before I bail on the living room. I have a meager 5K budget so I need to appropriate the where the ...
Help with high end bookshelf speakers
You guys are all really encouraging, for 45 years I'm pretty much stuck. I'll just get a lock for the door to the dedicated listening space. In all seriousness, I'm curious why I didn't get the usual suspects when I asked about a high-end bookshel...
Help with high end bookshelf speakers
Thank you everyone for all the great references. Each one has its intriguing aspects, sound signature, size, timber, price point, etc. The small speaker world is completely new for me, just wish there was some way to actually listen to one. Perhap...

Humm, hadn't thought of divorce as an option but think it might be a tad more expensive.
