Gamut made a high-power (200wpc) amp using one high-current transistor per channel. This would qualify as "single-end".
used single ended ss power amp
I currently have a pair of Genesis 201's and need an amp to drive the midrange and tweeter panels. I have a CJ 16ls mk2 preamp and a heavily modified Pro Reference pre that was made by Larry Smith some years ago. They are both single ended units. I am usually a tube guy but want to make a change. Most amps am seeing are fully balance and yes they have RCA inputs but I don't think they perform their best in single ended mode.I have a DIY set amp, spent lots of money on it but at 30 watts per channel they are shy. Am currently using a CJ Mf 2300, it's ok but not the real deal. I have an option for a Threshold SA 4e but am not sure. My price range is around $ 4000.
