DH Labs USB seems to be the flavor of the month. Try that! My recommendation would be to try at least 2 to 3 cables in your system and keep the one most appeasing to your ears. My all time favorite under $1K, comes with 30 days money back guarantee.
I’d suggest considering this LavriCable USB and save $$$. For around $150/1m you get a cable that uses pure 5N silver and physically separates the data and power legs of the cable. These are features typically found only on much more expensive cables, so these are a relative bargain. Along with this I’ve bought their balanced interconnects, headphone cable, and lightning adapter and they’ve all been superb. Several other seasoned members here have bought their cables and power cords, and as far as I can see they all, and like me, have been very impressed with both their performance and value. Highly recommend you give them a look, and best of luck. |
I wouldn’t spend $500 on a cable in your system. buy a $100 audioquest cinnamon. It has silver plating and will serve you well. Put the rest in a fund toward a Hugo TT or a DAVE. The DAC is the heart of your system. Jerry PS don't take this as negative toward the qutest. I think it is the best DAC in it's price range. |
@fuzztone What does this even mean? |
@fuzztone Out of curiosity, which LavriCable model did you use? |
