You can use an adaptor. But I would replace the plug. Either way, neither of these is anything more than a connection. Voltage change requires a transformer. When you switch voltage on the amp what you are really doing is changing the input taps on the transformer.

Guys I'm in the process of acquiring some powered monitors from the UK
The amplifiers have a voltage switch that can be adjusted to 120v
Can anybody advise on how I now plug these into my wall? I'm presuming I need an adapter that does not further adjust voltage in any way?
