twitter sound from right speaker only??

Hi

I am new to this forum. 

I have a pair of focal Sopra 3 speakers. They are hooked up to McIntosh monoblock/preamp combinations. I use Hifi rose 130 as a transporter and Chord TT2 and M Scaler as a DAC. 

Recently, I realized that the right and left speakers sounds different and the twittering sound is coming from the right speaker only. Right spk sounds bright and light and left spk sounds heavy and more base and no twitter sounds. 

Is this normal??

Definitely not normal... Replacing that concentric tweeter inside the midrange cone can also be tricky.

yes

in general, the right spk is colorful in sound while the left spk is somewhat "heavy".. cannot explain..

If you are brave enough to open them up maybe you can measure for continuity across the tweeter leads.

Switch the speakers and if the sound stays the same it’s not the speakers. I’d start with that.
