Trying to decide on a new turntable - Rega Planar 3 or Music Hall 7.3?

Hello all,

Sold the turntable that I had for 43 years (Accutrac) and now find myself without one for the first time in 43 years.

Question is now, what to get?  Been doing a lot of research, reading this review and that review, by the sounds of it every turntable made is the best.  Pretty sure I can't go wrong with either of the two above, but looking for some comments about them and reliability.

Thoughts on other models would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion on the VPI, however I'm partial to buying new, not because I don't trust the sellers, but I'd also like to establish a relationship with the shop (for my next purchase!).

I like the looks/reviews on the MMF 7.3, does anyone know about reported reliability issues with them?  A shop in WI is offering a new one with Ortofon Bronze cartridge for $1300.

Thanks
No experience with the Rega, but I have a Music Hall MMF 7.1 and it's a solid performer. Not sure what the differences are between 7.1 and 7.3.
Rega can't adjust vtf some cartridges will hum, can sound cd like sometimes. Could look at VPI HW-19 or a Well Tempered Record Player or Classic models in the Rega price range.

I have no idea how the new Rega sounds but back in the 90’s I had a Rega Planer 3 with first a Lynn K9 cartridge and later a denuded Blue Point Special. I found the sound with both of the cartridges to be quite lightweight and after 3 years, went with an entry level VPI turntable.
