The verdict - Burmester 232 is worth MUCH MUCH MUCH more than its price!!!

My system:

Burmester 232  + Focal Kanta 3s + LTA Aero DAC with upgraded Ray Reserve 6SN tubes+ Wireworld Eclipse 8 cables + Axxess Interconnects

Spent in excess of $50,000 and the sound I am getting is priceless! And my system has not even broken in yet. Thanks to all folks on this forum for their invaluable input.

Your  speakers  the big brother  Sopra 2 much  better I owned both of them

Prior to this Thread, the OP started another Thread with references to the Burmester 232.

I would suggest this Thread was an extension to bring extended info, which has resulted in their not being as active in the Thread as they were in their other Thread started.

To keep things updated for the onlooker, there is a recent report made, that the Focal Kanta 3s are bettered as a Speaker by their Sibling Model the Kanta 2.

The Kanta 2 can be discovered as a recent Used Sale Item @ $5K, which to myself seems there is a Market Anomaly, as the 2 model is the Upper Model to the 3, but is being found as the cheaper purchase price.

I haven't revisited my other used item purchase figures, but it does now seem less the $20k looks realistic to achieve the $50K system being referred to, with a upgrade of the Speaker.

Is a better speaker to be found at $5K or under.

Is the Burmester 232 able to be bettered in the used market

I'm confident in the world of DAC's, especially in the used item market, the LAIV has substantial competition at comparative pricing or under.

Can the $50K new system be found to to be matched / bettered by a used item system using equivalent items for their function @ $10K - $15K.

The challenge is not overly difficult, I have experienced it happen many times with a Vinyl Source > Phonostages.

In context and not my assessment, a Cartridge I had purchased as a Donor Cart' and had it rebuilt as a new design was taken to a Forum Audio Event where the system is use is approx' £200K when as per the owners permutation for it.

The system owner, kindly allows devices to be swapped out for brought along to the event devices.

My Cart' was pre mounted in a Heasshell, and was when debuted, was to follow a very very expensive Cart'.

It turned out my Cart' was compared to a TOTR DS Audio Optical Cart', and the consensus in the room, which is known for the straight talking attendees, with their no mincing words, was that my £700 Cart' had proven itself the better of the two Cart's which the other was a £20K Optical Cart'.

What is that talk about 'virtual system'. Can the OP not just take a picture of his system and somehow upload the file to his profile, then post in his thread?
