The Ultimate in Smoke and Mirrors? BUT...

Because I am an incurable tinkerer and my local distributor had a sale on, I recently purchased two Bybee "Quantum Signal Enhancer".

Has anybody else explored, with their own ears, this device? I'm not interested in theories, only personal experiences.

BTW, I've just ordered three more...

(Thank you in advance for your contribution.)

To answer your genuine question (thank you!): I placed a Bybee on top of the three power cords leading to the mono amps and the DAC/preamp/streamer. I placed the second squarely on top of the DAC/preamp/streamer.

The sound is cleaner, more dynamic and the imaging 'sculpted'. By that I mean there is a sense of acoustic space around each instrument. A more convincing musical performance...

These Bybees are newly manufactured so I don't know how they compare to older models.

I actually had one of the early Bybee power conditioners back in the 80s. I honestly could not tell any difference. Since I bought it used at a relatively low price I had no trouble selling it at no loss.

@OP What effect/s do you hear and where have you used them? That's a genuine question. I have a number of them that came in some pre owned gear. But I removed them as their adhesive had failed. I discovered they were there when I heard them rattling in the chassis! So I haven't auditioned them yet.

Well, I was hoping for a chorus of knowledgeable experience, but maybe there is still time...

I am certainly not knocking these extraordinary devices or their inventor. They are quite audible and very much to my liking! (I only use the term snake oil and  mirrors as a title to attract attention.)

One of the joys of audio, for me, is the 'unknowable' aspect of it that seems to reach far beyond theory. Three decades ago, I remember impressing my non-audiophile friends by taking the AC plug of my LP12, rotating it 180 degrees and re-inserting it in the wall. An AC motor with a regulated power supply that converted AC to DC and back to a 'cleaner' AC again, yet the soundstage jumped forwards and backwards.

The Bybee working principle might be difficult for me to grasp, but my mind/body has no problem enjoying its affect.

Same effect as those stick-on-the-wall wooden mpingo discs.

Dude! You still do this? You must either be a teenager in disguise or completely senile.

Bybee was a  working physicist, not a seller of snake oil ... Audio became his hobby ...I doubt that he will sell bullshit...

I never buy one because i did not have money for that in a low cost system , but inspired by him i made my own "tweaks" ...

It is useless to mock someone you did not know about nor any of his products on the basis of your own blinders and faith by the way .,..

Never tried them but some reviewers seemed to love them back in the day and I know some manufacturers put their stuff internally in gear.
