Streamer issues

I have a couple of streamers and no matter what I do I can’t get either one to play any higher resolution than 48k . I am using a brand new Wiim mini and I have just loaded the app and I am using Qobuz ( new version of the app) I have it set at 24/192 in wifi streaming mode. I tried to use the settings for the wiim to set up for 24/192 or 96 but it was not playing. I have a smsl do 100 dac ( new) but it still doesn’t work. Please help!

I’m pretty sure the ifi power 5v wall wart is better than what came with the Wiim.  I’ve heard, recently, that a allo shanti linear power supply will significantly improve the Wiim’s game.

I had just installed the wiiM streamer and it is super light so I decided to inspect the wiring and I noticed that the optical cable was not locked in properly to the wiiM and I rotated the wire to see if it would be a better connection and it was better but it didn’t really seem good but it is now streaming 24/192 and before all I could get was 16/44.1. I am wondering if the ifi power 5v wall wart is better than the one that came with the wiiM? I do have a ferrite clamp on the wire because it was on when I pulled it out of the drawer. Do ferrite clamps do anything when I am not getting any Fm interference?

did you do some troubleshooting? does your dad work with the input you are using with abnother front end, like a Mac or pc?

What happens when you set the rate to 48 or 96 instead of 192?

I am now using the wimm mini pluging into a smsl do100 dac and going to a schitt freya + with some updated tubes and a peachtree gan400 amp powering the Magnepan LRS+ .

I have a raspberry pi that I can use. I forgot about it. I put it away for the Auris audifi . I have finally gotten it to work and it is sounding great. The optical cable was not all the way engaged and it caused the problem. I have heard that the Wiim mini is actually a capable streaming unit due to the upgrades that they have been making recently.

Entry level is a Raspberry Pi if you can find one. My RasPi 3 is working better than my USBridge Signature. ~$500 with an Elite PS.  + $110 for a 2 TB SSD in a C case.

Hate to be blunt but you're probably going to have to spend more than $79 on a streamer.

Entry level I recomment the IFI zen or the Allo USBridge Signature. Both can be had under $400 if you shop around.
