Software to inventory vinyl collection

The Discogs app is very good. Once installed click the search icon and enter the number on the album or if the album has a bar code scan it with your device.

If you make your own spreadsheet in Excel, you can sort various ways, add columns, ....

I would want to do that in someone else's software.

Discogs: can you download/backup the library?

On a PC you can export your collection. 

I like the discogs idea. It really depends on how long and what you want to do with your list.

Easy to use. Likely to be readily available in twenty years. You don’t want to get caught in something that goes away.

Discogs. If most of your music has a barcode its even easier.

Discogs is made for this.... I have my entire collection of LP's, CD's, and music DVD's cataloged there. It's very easy to show it to other people too if you want to - just give them your username and they can go to Discogs see what is cataloged under it.
