OP for a low cost solution to try what you might like, try a weave and a ribbon. 50-150.00 for a pair and about 7-21 days for shipping.. I’ve been buying from the same 2 guys for about 3 years. Never a problem.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/124663779274?var=425604895895 https://www.ebay.com/itm/203162617162?var=503693555839 https://www.ebay.com/itm/203165392552?var=503722313924 I use a weave and a ribbon at the same time. One with red copper spades and the same on the banana. OCC silver clad ribbons & PTFE covers. AND OCC multi conductor helix weaves. I’m telling you, for 500.00 you can just go nuts, and get all kinds of options and GREAT sound.. XLRs and RCAs.. check them out too. They will match a LOT of the 1-5k cables out there. In Combos 10-15K, just no fancy wooden blocks.. Thanks for you service, buddy... Enjoy... |
No idea what would sound best, but Canare 4S11 is an excellent four conductor speaker cable that can be configured for bi-wire, or can be configured for double effective gauge single run. Used in professional recording studios and by audiophiles world over. https://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/speaker/indexmob.htm Thank you for your service. 🙏 |
Asking what speaker cables will sound "best" regardless of speaker type is up to your own ears. How on earth is anyone here going to know what you're going to like? I am presently using a recently acquired Theos, which is basically the same model without the amplified woofer. Positioning and rear room damping will do more than worrying about cable. |
I have a Carver TFM 15CB amp connected to my KLH Nine full-range electrostats with a six-foot pair of 14 gauge zip! Not high-end enough for all you wire fanatics, eh? You’re either more deaf than any of us realized, or you used an SW/MW transistor radio as a source. The OP asked a legitimate question. Take your pointless drivel and go irritate somebody else … |
I would ask your question on the ML forum: https://www.martinloganowners.com/forums/main-martin-logan-discussion-forum.13/ I have no experience with ML, but I am sure you will get more focused replies there. B |
